Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good evening everyone.

Had a quiet day. Dad saw the orthopedist and they have a plan in place to help strengthen his knees. I got my tickets for the Disney 100 and was looking forward to that tomorrow. Then Crystal called me sobbing she can't go. She is going but it won't be as much fun as my daughter's family is heartbroken right now. They have a Black Lab. I call him Linkage or the Missing Link, His name is actually just Link. When my daughter got him for the kids for Christmas, he lived with me for 2 weeks. Three years ago, he had cancer, and we didn't think he would make it but he did, even getting movement back in his legs, the tumor was on his spine. Link hasn't been feeling well so my daughter took him to the vet and sadly we have to give Link the greatest gift we can give him now, a final goodbye. He has complete kidney failure and it's not curable. I have tears rolling down my face as I type this. He is only 7 years old, way to young sadly. We are taking him Saturday to join all our other pets waiting at the Rainbow Bridge.

This is my grandpuppy that I will miss terribly.
Link while he was at my house.

I know this is the greatest gift we will ever give him but it hurts just the same.

Hope you all are having a better day than we are right now.

Oh, @tazdev3225, I'm so sorry
Truly a beautiful dog, and no matter how long we have them for, it's too short! Hugs to all of you.

The painting is DONE, 100% done
Yay!

I got some Cuddl Duds Clog Slippers that are much softer
They look great! And thanks for explaining.

Then I had my mammogram. The results are back and online already. Thankfully the recommendation is come back for my yearly screening next year.
Excellent! I have mine on the 30th.

Good evening. My sleep has been way off, too! 😬

Dazed, wishing you a nice trip. :sunny: Your breakfasts sound yummy.

For Taz, with understanding hugs. :grouphug:

From pet loss.com. (This has helped get me through some of those difficult moments when you have to say goodbye. 😢)

FROM FRIEND TO FRIEND

You're giving me a special gift,
So sorrowfully endowed,
And through these last few cherished days,
Your courage makes me proud.

But really, love is knowing
When your best friend is in pain,
And understanding earthly acts
Will only be in vain.

So looking deep into your eyes,
Beyond, into your soul,
I see in you the magic, that will
Once more make me whole.

The strength that you possess,
Is why I look to you today,
To do this thing that must be done,
For it's the only way.

That strength is why I've followed you,
And chose you as my friend,
And why I've loved you all these years...
My partner 'til the end.

Please, understand just what this gift,
You're giving, means to me,
It gives me back the strength I've lost,
And all my dignity.

You take a stand on my behalf,
For that is what friends do.
And know that what you do is right,
For I believe it too.

So one last time, I breathe your scent,
And through your hand I feel,
The courage that's within you,
To now grant me this appeal.

Cut the leash that holds me here,
Dear friend, and let me run,
Once more a strong and steady dog,
My pain and struggle done.

And don't despair my passing,
For I won't be far away,
Forever here, within your heart,
And memory I'll stay.

I'll be there watching over you,
Your ever faithful friend,
And in your memories I'll run,
...a young dog once again.

Tazdev So sorry about Link. He is a beautiful dog. He will be with you and your family always.

@dazedx3 Hope you have a nice trip with your family.

@flyingdumbo127 Those slippers look well padded and comfortable. I hope they work out.

@Pea-n-Me Lovely poem and does say it all. Our faithful pets are forever with us.

It is a foggy morning here. Yesterday driving into work there was alot of fog on 495 and route 3. It is supposed to get better today with temps around 78. The weekend is supposed to be nice.

Have a good day.

Happy Friday!:eeyore:

Taz - I'm sorry for the decision your family had to make, Link is a beautiful lab. Just remember that he was happy to be a part of your family.

Hot around here yesterday. Sky looked really dark and I wanted to take Mia for a little walk but was afraid we'd get caught in a downpour and the rain never came.😠

Bailey and Evan's schedules crossed last night so she came to my house for a couple of hours.🥰

I work night shift this weekend so nothing fun will be happening with me. It's supposed to be really nice and hot on Sunday so I might plan to sit outside in the pool all afternoon. Trying to grab the last few opportunities to lay in the sun and pool before fall hits.🏖️

Well, off to grab myself some breakfast 🍳. I'm back in the office on Fridays so I am not happy and I plan to make sure my boss knows I'm not happy today >:(. Have a great day.

:grouphug:and 🙏for all of dear 🐥to stay safe please.

Extra 💕Taz, Dazed, and Snowysmom, Frog, too!

Just realized I never did post this morning! I ended up talking with a good friend Barbara 📱who I hadn't talked with in a while. Blessing to catch up for sure.

Thanks to God, Dad is long safely home from doing :laundy:and shopping at Ralphs🛒He may go to Pavilions tomorrow and stay home Sunday and Monday depending on weather. It is supposed to be rainy here especially on Sunday🌧️Thank you all again, for your extra foot prayers and support. I've been wearing the new slippers all day. They're definitely much softer and more supportive than the old slippers. I'll know more tomorrow probably how they are working out.

❤️to all and enjoy the rest of the afternoon!

Good afternoon.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I got to see Link today and give him some love. I will miss going to see the kids and not seeing him. He always got so excited when I came by.

Crystal and I did go see the Disney 100 Exhibition today. I am tired and my knee is throbbing but it was worth it. So many great things to see and I wound up taking over 800 pictures. Once I upload them I'll share a couple. The weather was actually very nice too. It was only around 80 with a very nice breeze blowing. I take the train to Center City as the parking is really expensive and the traffic is horrendous.

Hope you all have a great day.

Looking forward to seeing some of your pictures! We did enjoy the 100 Exhibition, but it was so crowded when we went, that I didn’t take many pictures. There would have been too many strangers in the photos!

We had the downpours and the roads were flooded. My friend and I went to have lunch at one of our usual restaurants but the parking lot was flooded. The river right next to it flooded and got the parking lot. Luckily there was another restaurant right nearby. When I drove by the first place on the way back to Kenny's the parking lot was clear. The water went back to where it belonged. This rain is getting ridiculous.

It looks like I am closing on the condo next week. Tentative walkthrough is for Tuesday when Kenny can come along. Between the agent and Kenny I am sure things will be looked at really well. I am trying not to be anxious and just take things a day at a time and take my time moving in.
