Good morning. Sunny today which is nice.

@flyingdumbo127 Stay safe with the weather that is coming. I hope it turns out not to be as bad as predicted.

I bought a couch yesterday at Bernie and Phyls. The salesperson was so helpful. I found a nice couch and custom ordered the color and fabric. It is light gray with flecks of tan and black. It will go with the tan chair I already have. The pillows will be gray with darker gray, silver, and tan leaves. They really look nice together. The timing works out for delivery after I am moved in or hope to be moved in.

Kenny's GF has moved in so that changes the dynamics here quite a bit. It seems timely that the condo closing will be next week so I will most likely be moved into the condo by the end of Sept or beginning of Oct. Kenny is helping with putting in shades, curtain rods, TV, security system, I have to have the locks changed once the 30 day period passes in which the builder finishes up anything we find on the walkthrough, and get internet, wifi, and home phone set up. One day at a time. No more moving. If I don't like the condo or the complex, tough. I at least like the area. Tomorrow I will call the mover to set up a time for moving.

Good morning. The heat returns today with temps in the 90's. The cooler temps were nice while they lasted. It went down to 55 last night, great sleeping weather. I closed up and put the ac on to keep it cool before it warms up outside.

@tazdev3225 It's hard to put down a pet, but it's even harder to watch them suffer. I hope they make the right decision for Link.
@Snowysmom I'm glad you've made the decision to put down roots in the new condo and stay there. I have a feeling it's going to be the place you call 'home' soon!

I'm going to quickly clean the bathrooms. Then I want to wash the kitchen floor and rugs. My new bedroom curtains came yesterday so I'm going to put them through a hand wash cycle in the washer and hang them outside before putting them up. Still waiting for the quilt/bedspread to get here. Then the room will be complete again.

Quick Good Morning Dear Friends

Thank you all so much for your extra love and prayers. At the moment, all is calm and dry. may start soon. Dad and I did get some extras yesterday, we're good. We also moved everything on a shelf close to the floor by our front door and window onto higher surfaces. Thanks to God, we have had no more water coming in since the handyman did whatever he did earlier in the year.

Dad said in about an hour, he will see what's doing weather wise and decide about Pavilions. Rain may also not come until this evening. Whenever it may start, what a blessing to know God has us covered!

I will try to check in later. As I said last night, our internet service was sketchy. Dad said he had no trouble watching a Prime movie last night. All is normal so far today.

PollyannaMom, your pudding pie sounds delicious! I might like a Jello instant chocolate fudge pudding pie! Enjoy yours

Snowysmom, your new sounds great. May it be comfortable and provide you rest! Amen, one day at a time, my friend

Wow Kirby! I know nothing about foundations prayers all is safe.

That's in what we call the back 40. Just a play on words, we only have an acre and a half The ground around our foundation looks pretty good especially since Joe put in a sprinkler system in the flower beds last year. We also put in piers when we built the house so movement is minimal so far. We get cracks like this every summer, some a couple feet deep and wide enough for your foot to slip into if you are not watching where you step. Once the Fall rains begin they will close up.

The timing works out for delivery after I am moved in or hope to be moved in.

I'm so glad your condo is coming together. I pray that it will become "home" to you and that you will enjoy it for many years.

Here's a picture of the acorns that have been dropping off of our Red Oak. So tiny! I wish I had taken a picture when our driveway was covered with them. They're about done now. Shouldn't be dropping for at least another month.

Good morning all! I've been awake since 3:33am. Couldn't get back to sleep so finally got some coffee at 5am.

Today is a busy day for me. DGD's are coming for the night at some point today. Usually it's earlier but a friend will bring them later as the friend's partner is going to DD's home to install a light fixture today and they will come back to my house with this couple.

Later this afternoon I'm picking up my neighbor at Reagan National Airport....not even sure that's what they call it right now but I know where it is so that's all that matters to us.

She's been gone for about 10 days to the midwest visiting elderly parents and other relatives. Nice that she went as she was celebrating a couple of their birthdays and seeing her father and stepmother as well. Nobody is getting any younger so time matters.

Today is a continuation of yesterday. Work on my yard. Clean up the house. Feed the cats. Do laundry. And try to fix a dinner the grands will want to eat.

The grass I cut with the John Deere was fairly tall and needs raking. Yesterday I had to go buy grass bags. If I keep it mowed I need less grass bags. But not the case right now. The top part of my backyard hay field dried nicely but the underside was wet and green. Reminded me of doing the hay on my grandfather's farm when I was a kid. It had to be dried to store it in winter or it would get moldy and the animals couldn't eat it. Plus jumping into the hay mow in the barn was so much fun when we were young after the hay was brought in. We were little daredevils back then!

Time to stop reminiscing and feed my cats! The 10 year old is chasing a toy around as if he were a kitten.

Good morning. Another cloudy morning but the sun should come out later. Just working today and trying to get through the rest of the day. The dynamics at Kenny's house sure have changed since the GF moved in. I just try to stay out of the way. Jeff and family made it safely to WDW. They have a great view from their room at the Polynesian Villas. It is just upstairs from where we stayed last year. They have a great view of Magic KIngdom.

Good morning!

We will be getting a flu shot or the respiratory vaccine this afternoon at WalMart, and we’ll do some grocery shopping there. Hopefully we will swim this morning /early afternoon. It’s just a typical day here. Two weeks from today we will be boarding the Wish for the DVC MC.

I am very happy that we did do some work outside yesterday, and that I saw the hummingbird.

If it was my father and I felt as if I'd want to be there, I'd go anyway. I'd make sure she knew (and hospital staff) I was there but I'd find another area to settle in if she didn't want company. He's not just her husband. He's your father. Your kids grandfather and other people's relative as well.

This is not meant as a slam against you for not going. If it's not your thing, so be it. It just came across as selfish that your mother would not welcome your company.
