Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Good morning. Nothing but sun, mid 80's today. I'm keeping the windows closed, as they are putting up a new roof next door and the hammering is driving me nuts and making their rooster crow even more.
I'm cleaning out more stuff in the basement. I don't want anyone to be stuck with all the useless stuff when the time comes. No one will know what to do with it anyhow. I have a donation pile, a trash pile, a 'take it if you want it pile', and a couple more with no designations yet, lol.
Its cool down there, and quiet, so I'll spend some time down there today.

Have a great Monday all

Good afternoon to all:grouphug:

Footballmouse, I 'm so happy to hear that your trip with friends is getting closer! How fun. please stay safe and just have a fantastic time. I'm very thankful you are finally getting a break! You work so hard.

Lynn, you know I always cheer to hear of quiet time for you! I hope you have followed through on that today :)

Dad and I did enjoy going to 99 and then to Staples where we had $13 in Rewards. It was fun being able to spend "free" money in person with him. Afterwards we went to Target. We got a few things. Honestly by then, I was done and ready to be home! Too much. Dad quickly went into Sprouts (2 minutes from Target) while I waited in the car and read. All good. Happy to be home! I definitely appreciate so much God's extra grace upon us that I am safely to get out a little now. I am also continuing to learn that for me, being home is where I am happiest along with quicker trips every now and then. So other than my upcoming dentist appointment on Thursdays, the next time I think we go out together will just be a few blocks away to our very own neighborhood Rite Aid. Like CVS and 99, I often enjoy simpler stores the most :)

Have a great rest of the afternoon dear friends.

:hug:Bobbiwoz and thank you. Sorry about the 🌧️Very thankful, of course, that you are enjoying safe fun :)

Oriental Trading through tomorrow is offering free shipping on any order, no minimum. The code is: FLOATY23 Just trying always to save any of you who order on this fun site money :)

Thanks for the code! - I do order from them sometimes.

Today was busy. The cats had their check-ups at the vet and were very well-behaved. :cat::cat: Getting there in the rain stressed them out a bit, but it cleared up on the drive home.

DH finally went to the urgent care...because he woke up with pink eye, only to find that his "cold" was actually the flu! (He never suspected because he wasn't running a fever.) But he's on much better medicine now, and hopefully on the mend for real this time.

Hope everyone's weather gets less extreme and settles into the "just right" zones for both temp and rain.

Yay, so glad the code could help you, dear PollyannaMom. Praise God extra indeed that your DH got the care he needed and is now on the mend. Continuing prayers for him and always, of course, for you! Happy for your kitties that their doctor ordeal is over, too.

Sweet Dreams everyone with love.

@PollyannaMom Glad your Dg went to Urgent Care. I hope he feels better soon.

@bobbiwoz Sounds like nice relaxing vacation.

Good morning. It is actually sunny here this morning. It rained alot yesterday. Temps should be around 80 today. Tonight Kenny's kids start T ball. Kenny is a coach. I know the younger one will like it but the older guy, well as he says, I am not really into sports. I suspect he will be mainly watching.

I am talking with my real estate agent today. It seems like another buyer has convinced the conservation commission to allow final inspections so that is the way it is going. I am not happy but other than losing my substantial deposit I really can't do a whole lot about it. This condo was supposed to be place where I could find some calm and peace and maybe move forward a bit. Now all I will do is worry. I am telling my agent what I want but it may get nixed. I truly hope the grading issue and planting grass and flowers and bushes will resolve the issue but I don't really trust in that. I am going to ask her what my options are.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good Tuesday Morning!:sunny:

Hot and sunny today. Wish I was at a pool.🏊‍♀️

Went for a walk last night 🚶‍♀️. I wanted to see how far I could walk before my back started hurting, I made it a little past the 1/2 way point. I went ahead and finished my normal route instead of turning back. By the time I got home my back was a little stiff and it did hurt but I was able to do a mile. Don't think I could do my 3 mile route.😫

That's about it. Just ate left-overs for dinner so didn't cook. Have a great day!

Good morning. Sunny day, back to temps in the 90's today and tomorrow. No rain in sight. Had to water the garden this morning for the first time in a few days. I finally see a lot of squash starting to grow, no sign of the cukes yet. Few tomatoes but nothing big enough to pick yet. I did notice a lot of branches seem to have been eaten off. I know there are no bugs, so it has to be the birds. One year I grew my plants from seeds and the birds ate the whole plants while they were still small. I had to go out and buy plants instead. These are so nice and healthy, I guess the birds are enjoying eating the leaves. At least they don't eat tomatoes, lol

@Snowysmom How sad that someone managed to talk the commission into inspections. But that doesn't necessarily mean they will approve everything. I hope your real estate agent is some help. Will be thinking of you.

Off to take the trash down for tomorrow, make grocery list, and bring more stuff up out of the basement. Nothing exciting planned for the day.

Have a great one

Good morning. Warm one here today but still in the upper 70's so not to bad.

I love the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Jim goes out for breakfast with his coworkers and I can do my deep clean of the downstairs. I swear I vacuum up an entire animal even though I vacuum once a week.

I tried to get my airfare out of the way the other day only to find out that the credit I thought I had no longer exists. After an hour on the phone we figured out that whoever I dealt with in January when I booked the June trip used that credit instead of the one that expired in January. So now I may be out $88. I did contact customer service at the suggestion of the agent on the phone so we shall see. She said the same thing I was saying, why use the one that expired in 7 months when you had one expiring that month. I'm not expecting anything positive to come from American but at least I tried. I did praise the agent and the flight attendants in June. We had a 2 1/2 hour weather delay and they kept us well informed, I was happy about that.

Today is my 42nd anniversary and I am trying to figure out how to give Jim his favorite meal tonight. We always went to the same restaurant, but they serve a lot of seafood. After my experience in June and getting deathly ill I am afraid to eat there. Restaurants share pans for sautéing foods, I waitressed my way through college so I have firsthand knowledge of that. I can say I have a severe allergy, but they don't understand that any seafood TOUCHING my food can have serious consequences. I am pretty sure that's what happened in June. He loves French Onion Soup and Veal Parmesan. I found a restaurant that I can get the soup from as takeout, and I plan to attempt to make veal parm or chicken parm. The bread with the spreads I can't replicate but I can make garlic bread so I am hoping that will be a good alternative. I know he is disappointed about the restaurant, but he does understand that I am trying to navigate an allergy that can land me in the ER. Each exposure has been worse than the previous one. Why couldn't I be allergic to OKRA??? I love shrimp and scallops and detest okra.

I am finished organizing the pictures so I will do a mini report as soon as I pick out some pictures to add to it. Have a good day all

Having a good laugh at the okra line, but hugs about the loss of the restaurant. I think the dinner you are planning will be great! I love French onion soup, and have made chicken parm before (and so does my MIL). It's not as hard as the great chefs want you to think!

:grouphug:and Happy Anniversary to you and Jim dear Taz! Congratulations on 42 years together! What a blessing. Wishing you both, always, you know this, health and happiness always to come in joy!

:grouphug:Snowysmom, ITA with Lynn! Praying extra for you, my friend. I in fact, gave dad a card to mail you before he left for the laundromat this morning so be on the lookout for it hopefully within the week :)

PollyannaMom, Footballmouse, and Lynn:hug:always to each of you kind and lovely ladies, too!

Quiet Tuesday here. Dad and I did watch/fast forward more of A Christmas Miracle for Daisy last night. Daisy the young girl is the best part along with the hotel owner couple. The two main characters get semi annoying to me with their constant barbs. I don't care for, ever, people sniping at each other, not kind. Enough! Choose to speak good and kind words, as Lynn reminded us through ::MinnieMo! We will give it a little longer later and then probably be done with it. Oh well!

❤️to all and happy Tuesday! I did want to share that one of my morning Scriptures was from Isaiah 55:12.
For you shall go out with joy. And be led out with peace. May each of you know God's peace and Presence with you extra this day and that I care, too!

Happy Anniversary taz! Your home meal sounds delish!

Hope your DH feels better soon @PollyannaMom! Where in the world does he think he picked up the flu?

Mona glad you’re enjoying your time out more!

@footballmouse I’m glad you’re getting away to FL!

Hugs to all. :grouphug:

@Snowysmom Sending 🙏 for clarity of thought and peace with your decisions.

Today is a packing day for me but I’m not really into doing it. I’d rather take a nap, lol. Traffic was a nightmare yesterday and DD and I had to do a quick car switcheroo so I’d be on time - she was leaving as I was coming in she just jumped into my car on the street while hers was already nicely parked in the garage, lol, and we each drove the other’s car home (though I didn’t get to listen to my music as I couldn’t connect to her Bluetooth 😬). I made it just in time for my meetings. I look forward to the day I no longer have to do that drive under pressure. Forty years is enough.

I hope everyone has a nice Tuesday! 🐥

:hug:Pea and thank you! I pray you are able to retire sooner than later. With all my heart, always, I thank you for the many years of loving service you have given to God through your hospital work. You make such a difference, my friend. Please do remember to take care of YOU!💕
