Good morning. Thinking of everyone who needs good thoughts and prayers. It is a warmer morning at 47 degrees, going into the 50s today.

Off to work today. It is a holiday for some people but my company works today. Our next holiday is Memorial Day. We do have a floating holiday where we can take one of the Federal holidays. I wait until the Fall.

Have a good day.

Good Monday morning.:sunny:

Worked all weekend so not much for me to report on. I'm working from home all week. Jacob brought his dog, G, over to stay for the week. He had to work out of town and G is too big for Livia to handle to take outside. It makes me nervous to have her here in the house with my dogs. When her and Jacob lived her, she would attack Carly. She's staying in a spare bedroom with the door locked. I feel bad making her stay in there but I can't have her attacking and possibly killing Carly. When my dogs are outside or if I put them in my room then I let G out and give her some attention.

Frog - glad you meet up with your friend for lunch. You never really know how much you need something like that until you do it. I'm sure it was fun.

Snowysmom - glad you realized that the condo wasn't for you. I would like a nice view also since I would be on my balcony all the time. Keep looking, something will pop up for you.

Carly goes back to the vet later today for a recheck on her ear. I'm pretty sure it cleared up, it doesn't seem to be bothering her anymore.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone.

I've been busy all weekend dealing with the hard drive. Playing around with it I found some new folders and the biggest surprise is that my Scotland trip was there. I still lost a lot of pictures, but I found close to 1,000 so I am happy.

I'm taking a break today and heading to the Jersey shore. I'm taking Ella and a friend of hers, possibly my daughter too. We are heading to Ocean City and then taking the scenic route south to Cape May. I'm hoping to find some decent shells for a project I have in mind. Then we will hop on the parkway to head home with a stop halfway to get Ella some UGGS. She found them on Facebook marketplace and conned me into getting them. I love that kid, and that was what she used on me. My nephew lives about 5 minutes from where we are meeting so he is stopping over too. We left something at his house on Christmas Eve, so he'll bring that, but I think my husband wants him there as added protection.

I can use the trip to rejuvenate a bit. I've been dealing with a lot if stress and Jim's second surgery is Wednesday. Walking on the beach and the smell of the ocean, watching the waves break, it brings peace to my soul.

Mikey did get his haircut and I think he looks great. He HATES it. He wanted his hair longer. My daughter was angry that I took him and upset that it isn't what he wanted. To be fair he was very vague in his description. I told him that now he has a reference point BUT that his hair was so uneven that he needs to go more than once a year if he wants it differently. My daughter's problem is that she hated having the shorter hair when she was younger but I am not a hair person. When she could take care of it she was allowed to let it grow.

I love it.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning. Another 60 degree day on tap here, rain tomorrow.

@tazdev3225 - I'm so happy that you found some of your Scotland pictures. It was meant to be! Love your grandsons haircut, it looks nice, even if he hates it. It's hair, it will grow out again! Enjoy your drive to the shore, the break will will do you good. "Walking on the beach and the smell of the ocean, watching the waves break, it brings peace to my soul." Wish I could do that, it would relieve my stress too. Saying prayers for Jim's second surgery on Wednesday.

I finally got a decent night's sleep. I was asleep by 11, after watching the first hour of Idol, and didn't move until 6:30. I needed it.

We didn't get much of a chance to talk to Summer about her health the other night. She was in a rush to get the kids to the dance, and we didn't want to bring it up in front of them and ruin their night. She promised Don she would call him today and let him know what's been going on. From the little she said, I gather it's still more tests, more blood work, and more waiting. I need to ask her if she ever heard back from the Spinal Institute and if they can do anything to help.

I'm going to try to get outside today and do some walking, I've been a little too lazy lately, and my body feels it. I may even try getting back to the recumbent bike that's been sitting unused in the basement for far too long. I might need some extra energy before helping Dave with the bathroom remodel. Thankfully, despite my age, I am still in good enough shape to do things like that. Before we know it, it will be yardwork and gardening time, and I have to get back in shape.

Have a great day!

Good morning and Happy President‘s Day!
DH is off today, too, which is nice for him.
DS is working later shift now so they just took the dogs out for an excursion. DH has taught Grady how to fetch a ball and bring it back. Grad does it for a while and then he just walks away, lol. But at least he’s learning how to play with a ball. He’s really come a long way, and is very lovey to all of us in his own way.

Taz, very happy you found a good amount of your Scotland pictures! That’s a good feeling! (I’ve lost some over the years, too.) And I like Mikey’s haircut. I agree you have to cut and style hair now and then or it looks scraggly. It will grow out and look better if he wants to keep wearing it long.

Special hug and prayers to dazed. :grouphug:

I saw a poem the other day that I thought I’d share. (This was accompanied by horse pictures but I’m just extracting the words. Idk who wrote it or I would give credit. I’ve seen it a couple of times now from different posters.)

When I go
Don’t learn to live without me
Just learn to live with my love in a different way
And if you need to see me
Close your eyes
Or look in your shadow
When the sun shines
I’m there
Sit with me in the quiet
Then you will know
That I did not leave
There is no leaving when one soul is blended with another
Don’t learn to live without me
Just learn to look for me in the moments
I will be there

🙏🏻 :lovestruc

Enjoy the day, everyone. 🐥

Good Morning to all and to those of you with today off, :tigger:enjoy!

Snowysmom, a day off of your choice is a wonderful job perk! Using that in the Fall sounds like a great and cozy thing to plan for. Perhaps you and your grandkids can enjoy some sort of Fall Fun together that day🍁

PollyannaMom, a quiet day is refreshing indeed. I hope you get your needed errands :car:done quickly and are able to get back to being cozy and enjoying a good 📘

Easyas, I'm sorry you are off to work as usual. I do hope you enjoyed time with your kids this past weekend including wedding planning 💒

Footballmouse, :dogdance:🙏for both Carly and G (to settle down) and always, of course, for you! ITA with what you said about friends. We are all so blessed indeed to have caring extended support in friends in our lives indeed. I sure am forever grateful to you Footballmouse along with all of you (my Quacker family), too.

Bobbiwoz:grouphug:I thank God extra to hear you are feeling better today, my friend. Please take good care and stay that way. Tom, of course, too!

Have a wonderful trip, Taz Dev! Mikey is a handsome young man who is blessed to have you by his side. 🙏for both you and Jim always!

Lynn, I love your ::MickeyMopicture. Enjoy your 🚶‍♀️Amen and praise God that you are in health indeed!

Pea, beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing with us:hug:

Dad will be going to Rite Aid in about half an hour to hopefully get us some Aquafina at the best price currently followed by a trip to the 👟store. I'm grateful today's errands for him won't be too involved or long.

Have a wonderful day, friends. I'll check back in later.

Weeeelllll...most of the the errands didn't happen. :rotfl2: MIL called because FIL had decided to do a really big outdoor project, and DS and I ended up going over to help.

(I did run to the grocery store after, but the rest can wait until tomorrow.)

Good morning. Cold and snowing here. There is a coating on the ground with light snow coming down. It is supposed to change to rain for a bit. I feel bad for the birds and other small animals. They seemed to be getting used to the warmer weather. They were chirping and the robins were out looking for worms. Hopefully they will be able to take care until it is easier for them to get around.

I have not slept well for the past few nights or I should say worse than usual. My mind just keeps going and going. I hope tonight I am so tired I just go right to sleep. I am having issues with feeling bad about not having a place of my own any more. I know I am looking for one but I really want to be settled somewhere. I also feel bad about moving and not making the right decision in the first place. I apologize to the kids all the time for being stupid with where I decided to live. They do understand and tell me I am no stupid. They only want what is right for me so I am grateful for that. Making decisions by myself is not easy.

On the bright side we are making plans to go to NH this summer for a few nights. We want to take the kids to Santa's Village and then have another day for something else fun. Chris wanted to take them to Santa's Village so we will visit and think of Chris. I am sure he will be with us. He wouldn't miss it. I booked a cabin that my friend's kids own. It sleeps 11, has a great outdoor space, and is big enough for all of us.

Off to work. I hope to walk a bit later when it warms up a few degrees and the rain stops. Then I have errands to do after work.

Have a good day.

Good Tuesday morning.:sunny:

Well I'm back in the office today 😣. I was planning on working from home all week since I'm dog sitting. We had someone turn in their 2 week notice plus my boss wants to go over a luncheon for employee appreciation week next week, so I thought it be best to go in the office. I am planning on working from home Thursday, I have a facial moisturizer study that I have to go to.

Carly's vet appointment went well, her ear infection has cleared up :dog:. I had to take Mitchell down to Evan's house so he could pick up his motorcycle. That was a little bonus b/c Mia was there so I was able to get some snuggles in 🥰.

After I get off work, I'm headed to my other job for my merit increase meeting 💰. I need to remember not to go into this meeting all fired up and just be calm. I know it's going to be a crappy raise and my manager will go on and on how the hospital will be giving us a bonus later this year, whatever, a 1% bonus doesn't really amount to much. I know this probably all sounds ungrateful but she gives the same to everyone and not everyone deserves it. Plus I went to school to get certified for this position and she didn't take that into account last year for our raise so I'm going to bring it up today.

After my meeting I'm going to run over to Sam's and grab a few things. I'm still deciding if I really need to stop there or not. I'm also going to stop somewhere and get G a dog bed. I know this is crazy, but I feel bad that she's sleeping on the hardwood floor all day. My dogs are used to laying on the couch, chair or bed and I'm pretty sure Jacob allows her to sleep on the couch while they're gone. I even spoil my granddog 💓.

Should be a nice day today, rain rolls in again tomorrow and of course it's going to be cold on Friday. I can't wait until we have nice weather on a Friday so I can take Mia for walks when she comes over.

Pea-n-me - nice poem.

Have a great day!

Good morning. They say it's raining here, but the sun is out, so I'd like to know where they are looking, lol. It just can't make up its mind. 60 today, 48 tomorrow, mid 70's Thursday, then down to low 40's again on Friday and for the weekend. I've seen a lot of wildlife around with the warmer weather, and it's brought more birds back. I never have to put a bird bath out this early, but I dragged one of them out last week.

@Snowysmom- You will find the place you are meant to call home eventually. Until then, you are going to feel unsettled. I hope you get some sleep.

@tazdev3225 - I'm glad you had a good trip, can't wait to hear about some of it.

They are coming to repair Don's power lift recliner this morning, for the second time in 2 years. We didn't plan on spending that kind of money on it and then having it repaired time after time. It's under a lifetime warranty, but that's not the point as far as I'm concerned. He sleeps in that chair, and if it becomes unusable, then we have a major problem. I found the head of a bolt under it after we heard a loud bang the other day. I looked under with a flashlight and I can see where it snapped off, but I have no idea how they are going to be able to get the rest of it out of there, to put in a new one. It still works as it should, but he says something feels 'off'. I take his word as I never sit in it.

Off to make a grocery list and gather trash, then put a load of laundry in.

Have a nice day everyone

Good Morning from me, too :)

:thanks:PollyannaMom and your son for helping your in laws yesterday. I'm sure just being able to spend time with both of you made a difference to them. I do admit to thinking this might not be the best weather for big outdoor projects. Lol, that could also be the ☃️in me. Take care and may any errands go well today.

:hug:Snowysmom, you are anything but stupid. It makes me sad to even read that. You ARE a very wise, courageous, wonderfully and fearfully made person! God is forever by your side and within you. You most definitely are never alone. We are all here :cheer2:you on, too. You will come to find the right new home. Look forward dear friend. I know that's not always easy to do. I'm so glad also that you have Santa's Village to look forward, too.

Bobbiwoz, Dad and I were just saying that next Wednesday will already be March. I am very ready for Spring🌸🙏indeed for all of God's creatures and life 🐦and human alike to have a warm, safe, and loving shelter. Thank you and Tom always for caring for all.

Thank you for wanting the very best for your grand:dogdance:Footballmouse along with of course all in your life. Champ had a fleecy blanket that he sometimes slept on beside my bed when jumping on the bed became too hard for him. He also at times slept on dad's bed or his pillow. Good Champ memories, thanks. Stay safe at work and of course always and know you make a loving difference to all in your life, including us.

Lynn, I remember when Don's chair was causing him a lot of trouble and am so sorry to read that once again it's not properly working. High time, IMO, for the company to replace it! Fixes as you said only go so far, so many times. Plus, neither you nor Don should need to be concerned consistently that the chair is not safely working especially since he sleeps in it. 🙏that gets resolved today and that your 🛒goes well, too.

Dad is now doing Tuesday :laundy:followed by Ralphs🛒He will be calling his dentist either this afternoon or tomorrow (office might be closed on Tuesdays) to ask whether I could briefly come in for a second 🦷opinion. Every now and then, I feel a bit of a twinge. Thank God, nothing major or lasting. I will definitely feel better starting to take care of this now. All quiet otherwise on the LA front. Wishing all of you a lovely and warmer day. I'll check back in later.

I do admit to thinking this might not be the best weather for big outdoor projects.
 It was 60 degrees here yesterday, with no snow on the ground - that's almost unheard of for February in new England. I guess that would be kind of chilly where you are, but here it's definitely a "take advantage of it" kind of day!
