Hi anyone been here recently - thinking of a long weekend for my birthday in Oct .. Thanks michelle

some people commented about this on the BEST/ WORST hotel thread. Convinced me, I'm staying there 8/14 -8/26.:)

There was someone who resently stayed there and asked if anyone had questions and she answered all of mines.:)

The review was done by MELCHOR88.
I found it on page 4 here in orlando hotels.

Hope this helps.

I stayed there in March 2002. It was nice. We had a 2-bedroom suite on the top floor. The rooms were a good size and well maintained. They don't give you much in the way of kitchen supplies, so if you plan to do any cooking, you might want to bring some stuff. Breakfast was decent, nothing elaborate. We didn't swim but they do have a nice pool area. The hotel is close enough to walk to Old Town. I'd be happy to answer any other questions.

Just another option, our last trip in November 2002 we stayed next door at the Days Suites. We got a great rate there for a 1-bedroom of $39.95. No breakfast included but it didn't matter at that price.

Make sure you check rates at the hotel's own site: www.thhotels.com
They offer some specials not available elsewhere.

One final option - I'm in the process of planning our next visit and I've found some great rates at Windsor Palms condos. There are 2 bedroom condos for as little as $55/nite. You need a car there, though, as there is no transportation to the parks.

I was told they supply everything except a can opener and a toaster.
Can you give more detail as to what else we would need in the kitchen that they don't supply.

thanks

Actually, now that I think about it, the cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. were okay. What I was less than impressed with was the eating utensils. As I recall, there was just cheap plastic silverware and only knives and forks. The first morning, I brought breakfast up from downstairs and discovered we had no spoons. Had to go back down and get some. The first day in the parks, we made sure to pocket some Disney plasticware which was much better quality than the stuff in the room.
