*6/25 Update: Our Intentions Were Good, But The Treats Were Better: One Month in Disney (4/21-5/21)

I’m enjoying your trip report SO MUCH! Such fun to read. I love pancakes! I’ve always had a hard time finding pancakes in Disney’s World of mostly waffles, so I loved hearing about your pancake making event. Great pics!
I'm a pancake preferrer too! The best pancakes on property are the lemon blueberry pancakes at Primo Piatto and the macadamia nut ones at Kona Cafe, in my opinion.
I got a kick out of the gator with its mouth open. Lol.
I was so glad I was able to get that photo!
Yikes! I really don’t know how you managed to “stay calm” in church! I’m so impressed!
I don't know how I did it either!
I’m glad you enjoyed Frontera Cocina, it is a definite favorite of mine and Andi. The guacamole is really fresh and delicious there!
I remembered you saying you enjoyed Frontera Cocina. You haven't steered me wrong yet!
I will remember no ice cream with a bubble waffle if I ever do go to that spot!
Every time we tried it has been closed, maybe that is good lol 😂
That was a sign!
I would have freaked out with a lizard crawling up my leg, no thank you!
It still freaks me out thinking about it!

4/26/25 continued Why Did We Wait 19 Years to Return to Boma?

So after that rather eventful Mass, we headed to Animal Kingdom Lodge for our reservation at Boma. Since I was so late booking my ADR, I could only get a 6:30 reservation. We arrived at 5:30 and asked the hostess if we could be seated earlier. We were seated within a few minutes.

DH wasn’t thrilled with my decision to eat at Boma. He didn’t think there would be enough things that he would like on the buffet. He kept saying he was only going to be able to get the pasta and meatballs from the kids’ section and naan bread with hummus. Well, I’m happy to report that not only did he find many things to eat, he absolutely loved our meal there, especially the butternut squash soup and chicken corn chowder. Here’s his soups (he ended up having a couple refills):

AD_4nXcH7JQklIjD9AJ05hchSLDJeCp17HzBLmHGWUB1nPVN55HkglM6k4uZEyX5BdXxsfZISFFWwEF4Gi0-yl_Kg8jNuvhJ9BGjlcgNQifvhzHIAYa5D-eTscl7bXPfsY2KvjnpknlsJg

And here’s his plate of naan, mealie bread and hummus for us to share:

AD_4nXcrCWbJORynixI13RWSXWWfN5DUhjQHfbXyiIp4hUeF3T45FhaqmM2sVB20vs8snDSppLEdP0-_h6UsbsTOSqbOsGGxfADjjJWxFXbBskScYDnRKmwp6JD5uNcfipcAjoeHcFVX

Here’s my first plate (clockwise): tamarind rib, durban chicken, African strip loin, peanut rice, sweet corn pudding, olive-oil herbed crushed potatoes. I tried to get a little of everything to be able to try as much as possible.

AD_4nXdMlnU8cMCwMMmd1drXlg83pffBkGE4DFNlLYVZzupco3FMe-ZBzDEVw9o9OsUbtIIFFfLru1T0_4AUU08rDDL4JCuz-9PpS6OAF8t30oAe-69v9kJyBtYrX2Zyo7Mlw8MYVvVqLA

All of this was delicious! The rib had a decent amount of meat and a sweet tamarind sauce, the chicken was moist and well seasoned, the strip loin was tender and nicely spiced. The peanut rice was a little dry but had a nice flavor. The sweet corn pudding was creamy as were the olive oil potatoes.

I tried the Cape Malay Lamb Stew:

AD_4nXcO2-D-mxwb1zhnomq6v3sxKlcIdE26tq_9j-KrCaDhg4GVKDq-2Yhpko6zbKBCM-Oq_EjjNrxYWuhcL-ABi6h0YHSFvR8p7-IplOMwMxRkvW6Cc35dix8yfVq-Qk3FYQz6fn3x

I liked the stew but the lamb was a bit strong for my tastes.

My second plate (clockwise): green beans with golden raisins, salmon, Tunisian couscous and shrimp salad, and tabbouleh.

AD_4nXe7IyB8WGU2XhaH0PSmtSgZH0fLcYXUQ-I3RXMag4_LZIR6KBRj7rLsY_t4W4QAfnhRm9tBIztAfFwaokNaO3Bxx7CqEBuws1bLPf6ger5JUeOP5LAIPnpw6qfWG2iPAEfhqrIo

I loved this second plate as well! Everything was so unique and full of flavor!

I also took a taste of the chicken corn chowder and butternut squash soup. Both were excellent!

DH and I shared a sample dish of all of the desserts so we could review them here: (clockwise) chocolate chip cookie, butterscotch bread pudding, zebra dome, coffee brownie, apple cranberry tart, passionfruit mousse, vanilla bean mini-cheesecake (center).

AD_4nXed8ppRKuwlwbWlYkLff_17AnwNDrgHmncgoR_n1e-Xqxs6RBnRK6opz-IK8D7NHsiE3ZBW8TRjdS_WD3B1zp0WZjQ8XKA75utaB4CfFSSjowbrGWLb4vGrsFeYTmSNdP0BTDvr5A

DH loved the chocolate chip cookies and gave them a “B+”. I didn’t try them. He said they tasted like freshly baked Toll House cookies. We both loved the butterscotch bread pudding, “A”. I liked the zebra dome but I’m not as crazy about it as some people are, “B-”. We both loved the apple cranberry tart, “A”. The vanilla bean cheesecake was fine, “C+”. I didn’t care for the coffee brownie, it was a little dry and the coffee flavor was very strong, “C-”. We don’t care for passionfruit so we both disliked the mousse. It was far too tart, it made me pucker “D+”.

Overall we absolutely loved this meal! DH didn’t even need to try the pasta and meatballs from the kids’ station. In fact, we loved it so much that DH said, “we have to take the boys here when they come”. I had to rework our dining schedule but we were able to squeeze in another dinner ADR with them! Boma dinner now outranks Boma breakfast for us and it has become a must-do restaurant.

Total Steps: 12,669

Where is Wekiwa State park? There’s one in Longwood that I’ve kayaked at, but I couldn’t understand how the one you were at was called the same thing. DH said it’s really big and must overlap. ???

We haven’t been to Boma since the boys were little. I can’t even remember if it was breakfast or dinner 🤣. I’ll have to ask DH.
I ❤️hummus and tabbouleh. There were quite a few things that I would enjoy. I’m not so sure about DH.
Nice you were able to go back with the boys.

It is in Apopka. Not too far from the wildlife drive. It looks on the map like there's a Wekiwa Springs near Longwood and then the Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka...very confusing
I love all the alligators you saw! OMG a lizard crawling up your leg, yes would definitely freak me out!!!
We saw so many gators! It was a really cool drive and not too far from Orlando.

We have been to Boma for breakfast many times but the one and only time for dinner was 2006. I can't believe it was that long ago. I thought it was 2010 but I looked it up and it was in 2006. DH really complained beforehand (kind of jokingly) and I kept reassuring him there would be things he liked. He loved the soup and desserts so much, I think he'd be happy with just that.

4/27/25 This is How the Cookie Crumbles
As I was planning this trip, I initially thought we would play our schedule by ear. Then, I realized that since we needed park reservations, we really needed to select our parks ahead of time. I consulted Touring Plans for guidance on which days would be best based on crowd levels. I was surprised to see that Magic Kingdom’s crowd level was predicted to be a “4” on this particular Sunday, just a week after Easter. Being an offsite guest, we weren’t eligible for early entry but we made sure to be through the entrance in time for regular entry. We lined up over by Liberty Square and made our way to the Haunted Mansion. Surprisingly it didn’t open right at 9:00 but by 9:05 we were traveling through the line and on the ride within 5 minutes of that.

We next headed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, with a posted wait time of 25 minutes. We were on within 18 minutes. So far so good!

We walked over to Pirates which had a 10 minute posted wait. We stood in line for 8 minutes and realized we hadn’t moved at all. Suddenly we noticed people walking back through the line. I checked MDE and sure enough it was down. We decided to leave the line and try another time. I don’t know what happened but for the rest of the day every time I checked MDE it was listed as “temporarily closed”. We walked over to It’s a Small World which had a 15 minute wait. Fortunately for us, when we got to the point where those with LLs tap a second time, there was no one in the Lightning Lane so the CM pulled us out of the regular line and we were on in 9 minutes!

At this point, it was time for a mid-morning snack so we headed to Friar’s Nook and purchased the Apple Cider Doughnuts.

AD_4nXceLaOJyAXe0vc9SHM8jpx8Q_0axzvtReKsL_GUy0OFAq_l1wMU-XjA-QIe-LPDsqdxSmo6WicdG7MpWm7i0NrQ-pW173swILA85isa52lhWIEUwGApkR5NzocZQ59nSx7nINXTnw

I was expecting these to have a weird green sugar or sauce on them like I had seen in the promo photos. But, I guess Disney realized it was more appetizing like this.

These were very good. They were very fresh and hot with a wonderful cinnamon sugar topping. The insides had chunks of real apple and the caramel sauce finished them off nicely! It was a simple but tasty treat, B+.

After our snack we got in line for Under the Sea. It had a 10 minute posted wait but the line was snaked around through all kinds of areas I’ve never seen before. It took us 20 minutes to board. Sadly this ride is badly in need of some refurbishment. We noticed quite a few animatronics not working. Even poor Ariel, who was supposed to be dancing in the “under the sea” scene, was just staring out with her arms in the air frozen in space. We really enjoy this ride and it’s sad to see it not functioning well.

We made our way over to Enchanted Tales with Belle, as it’s something we’ve never experienced. Recently a YouTuber had mentioned that this is a great show even for adults so we decided to see what it was all about. It was very cool to see the mirror change into a doorway but beyond that, it was not enjoyable for two adults without kids with them. It was kinda chaotic with kids that were chosen to play roles crying and going back to their parents and CMs talking over the pre-recorded narration. Someday if we have grandkids we may go with them but probably not before then. We enjoy the Frozen and Beauty & the Beast sing-a-longs but this was not that at all.

We walked to Tomorrowland and watched the Carousel of Progress. As the theater was attempting to rotate to the final scene, it abruptly stopped. So, we ended up seeing the 1940’s section twice. We’re not sure what happened but it was a nice air-conditioned break so we didn’t mind.

We were feeling hungry for lunch and decided to walk over to the Grand Floridian to get something from Gasparilla Island Grill. I attempted to place a mobile order but in the app it looked like my only choices for sides were chips or fries. I know in the past I’ve ordered mac n cheese as a side and I thought I had seen you could get a side salad. We were still trying to be healthy so as much as I wanted that delicious mac n cheese, we planned on getting the turkey sandwich with a side salad. I decided to place my order in person and ordered the turkey sandwich from a CM. I asked if I could get a side salad and she looked at me like that was the craziest question she ever heard and then said, “No, only chips or fries.” So, we shared a turkey sandwich with a side of house made chips: House-roasted Turkey, Brie, Apples, Herbed Aïoli, and Arugula on House-made Ciabatta

AD_4nXdjnig7rPbXC2v_JunBQHvu4X3PwiOH7DvaFgbi8M4dNSSXA3xoU123uIGd-dJRTb8LdyKGQYcXpeOjQI1CI0zpg9RlYaIG3Ph0uD_1TCe41klaUohs7-jEfVzPi3giyPYaUuH6

This was a very tasty sandwich with fresh roasted turkey, not deli meat. The brie and apples added to the flavor and the ciabatta bread was nice and fresh. We gave our lunch at Gasparilla’s a B+. It is always consistently good.

At this point we decided that we owed it to the DisBoards to do our own resort cookie stroll, trying a specialty cookie in each place we stopped. So, we bought the Signature Cookie: Chocolate Chip Cookie with Candied Hazelnuts

AD_4nXefsJ8KmWd45HFVnb49qm0pV_1F6Crr_-3Ms1yYg60b1oH6106MwyKyrVktwK2XTACDSZ-xdviFvqDhnWyfNX6hdx_ILUXWdBCyC7Mh2fvp8VmOG8T3uFeKd9SvQbrPBdqfqlGK

This was a terrible cookie. It was really stale, dry and flavorless. We gave it a C-. Gasparilla really needs some work on their signature cookie. They may want to get some pointers from the Riviera (more on that later on in the trip).

Thankfully, we also purchased the Mickey Choux.

AD_4nXfJlD3L2wRyFOxCD64QccnFjb2ECAgUWloR6m8Wwa-ZEAuujY-r0cDY5jE8JunA-XxQitwPIQYf9TVI7xZ7ajQr0fud6XjyuFXDVVGocNP97HOtCfgQsa8a8bYhwJJQqhNvWljM6w
AD_4nXfoK_pWQWKAsoJm-NQQ-KQHf-ZPQS9t-kf0eeCtFEe5E_B7TZIYDFBXLQQxzlaFsF0I7WLOMutScRB6HQ9jPhzS-otyYHKZsaVPVAt7RVvx-kPiAUMQ2DENM48qqiFvu1EpCoUlwg

This was very good! The choux was perfectly baked with a nice chocolate coating on the base and it was filled with a creamy chocolate mousse. It was very small for sharing but it was delicious. We gave it an A-.

After lunch, we walked back to the Magic Kingdom. We rode the People Mover with a posted 10 minute wait, we waited 9. I checked the Lines App for the Tron wait time and it said "ride now", predicting a 38 minute wait. MDE was showing 55 so I decided to give it a try. This time the Lines App was correct and I waited exactly 38 minutes. Such a fun ride but so short I find it hard to wait in too much of a line to ride it.

We then rode the train from Storybook station to the Main Street station.

AD_4nXdp40kp3XVbZTflihpLyrrmCYCOwfORXZXAZab8F99xqXXZ61cU_3SKlggMPdqRf1MN7DsJK7OjA4Qb8ShkiLsc-8LUCAn90vzaG9bTi3UAMCPoUEYJdZamJLy9LpgNxvKWKVhTnA

One of DH’s snack priorities was to get the Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie again. We tried it for the first time on our last trip and were surprised at how delicious it was. The one we got last time though was just slightly stale. We thought perhaps that was because we bought it at Big Top Treats and maybe there wasn’t as much turn over of inventory there. This time we assumed if we purchased it at the Main Street Confectionery that it would be more fresh. Unfortunately they didn’t seem to be selling the regular Mickey Chocolate Chip cookie. They did have a Snickers version however so we purchased that instead.

AD_4nXe2Eeyu03drhoAa0zrPZlKXjyCJZylYYd2vNZMVhiRvlHuoAaIqZRP7G6b3E9frojKCx_g_1oiaiPaUSTxAgX06KLnEbDG6LyolWfkVI8y5NVmmUZozOMiL2aVMjSTQmrUUs882Iw

This cookie was also terrible. It was extremely stale and dry. The only thing that saved it was the chocolate dip on the ears. It was a very bad cookie day. So much for our “cookies will be fresher at Main St. Confectionery” theory. Very disappointing. We still would like to know where to find a fresh chocolate chip Mickey cookie, if anyone has any insights.

After our cookie disappointment we headed to the Country Bears to cheer ourselves up. We both were very apprehensive about the changes being made to the Country Bears. However when we saw the new version in December we were pleasantly surprised. We love the updated show and feel they did an excellent job incorporating the Disney songs into the show. We especially love the “Remember Me” part, it keeps the spirit of the original without the blood.

Having accomplished even more than we expected (the actual observed crowd level ended up being a 2), we made our way to our anticipated dinner location, the Wailulu Bar & Grill. Even though we had plenty of steps, it was such a beautiful day we opted to walk from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian and on to the Polynesian. It wasn’t nearly as long a walk as we thought it would be. It was just about a mile and a quarter to the Wailulu Bar & Grill.

Up next…our first time at Wailulu Bar & Grill

The crowd levels were really so unexpected for Easter week! What a pleasant surprise. I’ve never tried the apple cider donuts and they sound yummy- added to list. I remember that sandwich I think from last year’s TR. We may be taking a trip over there for lunch. We usually head over to Steakhouse 21 for lunch. It’s nice to get out of the park for a while. No luck with chocolate chip cookies I guess. That’s a bummer. I’ve never heard of Choux before I had to look it up. 🤪 The pictures I saw look more like cream puffs. But that choux did look delish - adding to my list. I have mixed feelings of Country Bears. I can’t wait to hear about Wailulu bar. We are eating there next month, and heard from a friend it was really good. I guess we’ll see.

It certainly was a surprise! We avoided the parks that week except for Epcot on Wednesday and MK on Sunday and the crowds weren't bad at all!

They are very yummy! We miss the apple handpie from Friar's Nook but these were a good substitution.

We love the smash burger at Steakhouse 71 but haven't gone there in a bit. It's on the list for lunch next time!

I think choux is actually what you call the dough for things like cream puffs and eclairs. When I told DH I wanted to get the Mickey Choux, he thought I was saying Mickey Shoe and was very confused, haha!

Hopefully I'll get that review up soon!

4/27/25 Dinner at Wailulu Bar & Grill

As we walked along the path to the Polynesian, I tried a few times to join the walk up waitlist for Wailulu Bar & Grill but kept getting the “you’re too far away” message. I even tried as we passed the new Moana splashpad area. I actually wasn’t able to join the waitlist until we were on the patio just outside the bar. I joined the waitlist at 5:59 and received an estimate of a 45 minute wait. We wandered around the lobby of the tower as we waited.

AD_4nXfDS9HEL80xDWSq3esMu0GENYApcJb7q7puktJPtMtN7tbc47HEjygAi9SJ_exuog_N1e71oLN4G7AZkjNYtB2jDZesVg_rjBBJpUciyBkiCIW61W-x8ukEyhVbGhvxCWtW4zHfxg

Most of the decorations and theming are stunning, although the lobby is much smaller than we imagined.

AD_4nXf0ahNWlSTUOFzH9yCDmSkgE2QTZ1mFhbRGCjS_wiwjFga6Q9iwFAVZ_J1iSt4pjgZflB7wSjORbMNW_EXUqSJMMA_xD6XSZLIqvDu8kXeeq00w_MXI-ogDtaOC5SFUnmk4QIl6Cw

These things however are very strange. It looks like astroturf hanging from the ceiling. Later in our trip we came by here again and the DVC representative told us it is preserved moss and that it is watered internally. I’m not sure how true that is but it does make it more interesting and not just weird.

We received our text that our table was ready at 6:32, so just over a half hour wait, not too bad! We were seated outside (can’t remember if I requested that or not) but we were hoping to be seated out there. We had a wonderful view from our table.

This is a beautiful spot to dine and relax.

For dinner we decided to split three dishes. First we ordered the sweet potato hummus. Crispy Chickpeas, Espelette Pepper Dust, Breadfruit Tostones

AD_4nXfCbDQ2Se0asFAUs_GY9EPIBvjgx37AXIs5DER1qvqHMfsdUaSa8EY_byApGDxqlwGyQ5ehCuSPTYC78oVmWpkoQEZjELNvnGjtJvjSVJfWPYYREqlgBlFHfl9zrwHAmgroGRQXyw

The sweet potato hummus was excellent. We didn’t really care for the choice of breadfruit tostones as our dipping vehicle. They were very greasy and weren’t as good as plantain tostones. Plantain tostones, pita chips, tortillas, or even jicama like we had at Frontera Cocina would’ve been better we think.

We also shared the crispy chicken wings. Adobo-marinated, Soy Glaze, Tomato-Fresno Pepper Relish

AD_4nXcqHim-KaqHjvu17GfckAQ7UdFXzhi1nthRKxx17K68o2qY0D8_051l4HEtQm_FmqtXgPSqUhft4mlkiY2GeQyMtI3htKw26zM-0GsvPrhA3c4O1cN8gJMMmy6XtVf2GNqfT5eVSA

These wings were very good. They had a nice crispness to them and were flavored well. They were definitely way better than the Cocoa Beach Fish Camp wings but we prefer the ‘Ohana wings to these.

Lastly we shared the Teriyaki Chicken Sliders: Kimchi Slaw, Sweet Bun served with Mac Salad or Sweet Potato Fries

AD_4nXe2YrZAGFcU-RhED4LbVvB9MkaT99j0RZT6ZURboWS-gOB08kLt4Cgka_btQ1HSp_8y6rlyRg9acvTyvFAG5MFc4B0z3ixOJ6BDCcKrSpFCfi60DvOO5xBPhtN7fbW1-4zITaPM6A

These sliders were excellent. The chicken was moist and flavorful. We liked the sweet roll bun and the crunch from the kimchi slaw. I really liked the sweet potato fries. They were crispy and well seasoned. DH isn’t a sweet potato fry fan in general so I enjoyed them much more than he did.

Overall this was a very good meal but I think our expectations were maybe too high. We thought we would be blown away and instead it was just a good, tasty meal with a wonderful view. We gave our meal a B.

There are so many excellent dining options at the Polynesian that we probably would prioritize over Wailulu even though it was a very good meal. We both felt we’d prefer ‘Ohana, Captain Cooks or Tiki Terrace.

After our meal, we walked over to the TTC and headed back to the hotel. That night there was another rocket launch visible from our room.

We had a great first Magic Kingdom day! It was so relaxing to have no pressure to “get it all in” since we knew we would have many more opportunities to do all we wanted to do. We accomplished way more than we expected, ate some tasty food (with the exception of the cookies), and got some beautiful walks in too.

Total steps: 25374

Up next, DH’s surprising choice for breakfast.

I’m glad you enjoyed your meal and a half hour at dinner time wasn’t bad at all. We are still debating whether we want to go for lunch or dinner. Since you can’t make an ADR I think we’ll just see how the day goes. When we were there in April we took a walk down to see the tower, and look in the lobby. I do remember seeing those green things( moss I guess haha).
I’m a little surprised you’d rather eat at capt. Cooks? What is good there?

Not a bad wait for sure!

We love Capt. Cooks! The Superfoods salad is our favorite salad on property. We also love the Thai Coconut Meatballs and Pulled Pork Nachos. We ended up going there twice this trip, once just the two of us and once with our sons. I will have pictures and reviews!

Is DH on board with the fall trip idea now?
Yup! He said "as long as it's warmer there than here, he's in". Truth be told, he loves it as much as I do. With elderly parents though we never know if/when we can go but it's fun to plan even if it doesn't come through.

Your meals at Boma and Wailulu look so good! Also, I was not planning on trying anything from Summerhouse next time I go but that cookie looks too good to pass up! I have not been to Boma in forever either so may need to convince the rest of my party to try it again. Wailulu is one of my top choices for our Nov trip, the food and drinks look great there. And you can't beat those views! :lovestruc

Great updates, looking forward to the next one!

Yup it’ll be warmer!!! 🤣

4/28/25 DH's Surprising Choice
A little background before I continue: After I had booked all our ADRs, I had nothing booked for our final day. Typically when planning our trips I will propose certain places and DH generally just goes along with it. I decided though that he should make the final choice. We were planning on leaving after lunch on our last day so he had the choice of any breakfast or lunch. Since we were within the 10+ day window of our Swan stay, pretty much every restaurant had availability. I read the list to him and to my surprise he picked 1900 Park Fare breakfast. He’s not really a fan of breakfast or character meals so at first I thought he was joking. We had dined there last year the first week they opened and liked the food a lot but they were having issues with keeping the hot foods hot and cold foods cold. He said he wanted to give them another try. He was looking forward to the strawberry soup and he loved the vegan chocolate muffins. So, I booked it. Then as the trip was approaching he kept asking me how long he was going to have to wait for his chocolate muffins and strawberry soup. I reminded him it was the last day of the trip. He brought up his anticipation several times before the trip. On a whim, a few days before our trip I decided to see if I could find any earlier ADRs so as not to prolong his wait. To my surprise, I actually found an 8:30 ADR for 4/28 and changed our reservation, thereby shortening his wait by 21 days!

We drove over to the Grand Floridian, thinking we were leaving plenty of time to get there but the traffic that morning was the worst we’d seen. We finally made it to the security guard’s booth, only to be told that we would have to park across the street in cast member parking. It then took us forever sitting at the light to cross the street to the parking lot. We parked and then had to powerwalk all the way to the restaurant. We made it about 5 minutes later than our ADR but checked in and were seated without issue.

We went up to the buffet for our first plates. Here’s mine: Beef hash, carving station ham, cheesy eggs, bacon, and eggs benedict.

I am happy to report that everything was sufficiently kept warm and it was all very fresh and tasty. The bacon was well cooked, the ham was delicious, the cheesy scrambled eggs were tasty, and the beef hash was a bit salty but flavorful. The only thing I wouldn’t get again is the eggs benedict. I don’t think it works in a buffet situation as the english muffin gets stale quickly.

Here is DH’s second plate (I think the first one was primarily the vegan chocolate muffin and a few other pastries): cheesy hash browns, potato barrels, cinnamon pull apart bread, bread pudding, ham, and vegan chocolate muffin.

He loved all of it but especially the cinnamon pull apart bread and chocolate muffin.

I went back to try the breakfast pizza and chocolate muffin (and some strawberries that I ate before the photo).

The breakfast pizza is just okay but DH is not wrong about the delicious chocolate muffin. It is so moist and chocolatey, with a sweet, crunchy streusel topping.

We both got bowls of the famous strawberry soup. I added fresh strawberries to mine.

This time it was properly chilled and way better than our previous visit. Now I understand the hype. Very good!

I also went back to try the cinnamon pull apart bread upon DH’s suggestion.

This too was excellent!

Overall we enjoyed our second visit to 1900 Park Fare breakfast even more than the first. We had brief visits and photos with Mirabel, Tiana, Cinderella, and Aladdin. Last time Aladdin was off flying with Jasmine so we saw Snow White instead. It was nice to see Aladdin this time.

After our delicious breakfast, we drove to Hollywood Studios. We mainly wanted to see Muppetvision 3D while we still had the chance. So, we headed there first. We really are going to miss that show especially since it is one of the few things DH and I can experience together in this park. Due to his extreme motion sickness, there is not a lot he can do here. After the show we walked through Galaxy’s Edge and I decided to use the single rider line for Rise of the Resistance. The posted wait time was 65 minutes. I was fourteenth in the single rider line and entered the attraction within 24 minutes. I love how immersive this attraction is!

We then watched the Vacation Fun movie and Beauty & the Beast show before stopping for a pineapple coconut slushy at the Market.

This is always a refreshing and tasty drink. For some reason though we always feel like the one at Goods Food to Go at Old Key West is just slightly better.

We enjoyed our drinks as we waited in line for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the only ride that DH can do at Hollywood Studios, and even then he has to close his eyes during parts of it. There was a 45 minute posted wait but we were on the ride in 30 minutes. We love how many hidden Mickeys there are on this ride.

Since there wasn’t really anything left for us to do together in the park, we decided to take a ride on the skyliner to grab a snack and eventually have dinner. We both decided that unless we’re there to see holiday decorations or get a carrot cake whoopie pie, there’s not a lot of reason for the two of us to go to Hollywood Studios. (Although we do look forward to the Little Mermaid show and the Villains show as two more things he can do). I will say however that when our sons came it was a much better experience, for me at least.

We rode the skyliner all the way to the Pop Century resort and shared the Peanut Butter & Jelly Croissant.

This was a very tasty treat. The inside had lots of delicious peanut butter and jelly filling. We gave it a B+ and would definitely get it again.

We walked around Pop Century for a bit and then took the skyliner to Caribbean Beach.

Up next…dinner, dessert, and an unexpected issue at Caribbean Beach.

We have never been to 1900 Park for breakfast and I don’t think that would be my DH’s choice either, but I get giving it a second chance. I think I remember going for dinner once when it was the evil step sisters so my niece could see them. Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast food…. But I can understand why it doesn’t work well at a buffet. GF cafe used to have lobster eggs Benedict that I loved.
Breakfast is my DH’s favorite meal. We may need to try it. That muffin sounds wonderful!
I loved watching the Muppets as a kid, but I may be in the minority I wasn’t a fan of Muppets 3D. I totally get the motion sickness at HS. I hate Star Tours and I also need to close my eyes a lot on M & M Railway as well as Remy.
How do you find out about all these great snacks? Is it from reading other’s TRs? That pb&j croissant looks yummy too! Glad the second time around at 1900 was better than the first.

Oh shoot! I was hoping you liked this place. Andi and I have it on our list for our late summer trip! We might have to do the sushi place in the Swan, instead I have heard really good reviews for that one. Andi and I really liked Tokyo Dining the former place before Shikki-Sai
The desserts look yummy!
My family loved it in August last summer. I can't remember all we had, but my son, DIL, and GD had sushi and loved it. DH and I had rice or noodle bowls. We had desserts too, our server surprised DH and I with a matcha ice cream for our 53 wedding anniversary at no charge. Our server was excellent.
I would go and see for yourself.
