PS for HDDR

Hey all,

I already have a PS for HDDR for the 5pm show on Saturday June 4 for 2 of us.

My question, since I have never been there before.

Do they have tables that seat only 2 people, or would they be putting us at a table that would normally hold 4 people?

Reason I ask this, some friends are coming to Disney also, but aren't sure just yet if they want to do the HDDR. If they were to come with us and we had 4 people instead of 2 for our PS, will they seat us?

No, the HDDR does not work that way. First off, with the HDDR you don't have a PS, you have an actual reservation and your credit card will be charged for the two people you booked for. You will be seated at a table for 2. There is no family style seating, although the tables are close.

Your seating location relative to the stage is based on when you booked your reservation. If you want your friends to join you, you will have to call reservations and re-book the table for 4. I'm not sure if that will have any bearing on your seating location.

HDDR makes up the seating arrangement for your night once they are booked to capacity. They know where you are going to sit when you arrive.

I'm not sure if they would seat 4 on a PS for 2. I do know that there is no problem if you show up with fewer people then the PS is for. I woulf suggest that you try to change your PS from 2 to 4, that way you should have no problems.

I forgot that this is a paid in advance show. If you change from 2 to 4 on your reservation you would have to pay for all 4 and if your friends don't show up you will not be able to get your money back closer than 48hrs before your show time.

Just an FYI..............I'm not sure when you reserved, but it may be a situation like ours...............we originally booked the HDDR the first of Aug 2004, when it was simple GUARANTEED, not RESERVED. I had a Cast Member argue with me about this at first also. When I finally told her I wanted to cancel (unfortuantely) after making sure our other date was available, and rebook for another night, as we had a change of plans............she went into our Conf# and seen it was in fact a GUARANTEE not a RESERVATION, because it was done before this change too effect.

Please be aware that if you make any changes to your reservation, you will have to cancel and rebook and your seats may not be as close as they once would of been. And it appears there was recently a price increase as well, not too much but some. The cast member explained it was simply becuase the tip included went from 15% to 18%.....not a big deal to us.

Regarding changing reservation etc. I have been using the conceirge over at the GF for my scheduling, so they deal with the canceling and rebooking stuff.

Since the HDDR is a prepay type of dinner..what do you do when you want to use your dining package on it..It would require 4 table service points from our plan but i don't want them to charge my credit card when it's technically already paid for?....My reservation woudln't be until the end of september..

We're on The Platinum Dream Maker plan, which they don't offer anymore.

Our plan includes everything and anything we want to do, eat etc etc.

I don't know how the points work on the new plans
