PS experts....I have a question

We tried to book the Fantasmic Dinner Package (which we've done before) for our upcoming trip and they were completely booked according to the CM for the entire trip.

Here's the question...we were trying to book for 6 people. Do you think if we try to split the party and do a 4 and 2 or something that there would be openings? Has anyone found this to work...that it's just a particular size table that is booked? I remember trying to book CRT once for 2 and they said they had a table for 4, but nothing for 2, so I just thought splitting our party up might work. Has someone tried this with success?

Try that or on the day you are going to Fantasmic, go to Guest Services and see if a party cancelled or they have room for you!

I don't know how soon you are going, but CM had told us to call back about 30 days prior to going and sometimes they open up more seats. I waited and just got PS for HV for 4:40 (not bad)!

We were there on March 30th with our party of 7. When I made the PS, the CM told me there wasn't a table large enough for my family but there was a 3 and 4 top table. He advised they often try very hard to seat you as close together as possible....well, in our case, we shared a "booth" bench with 2 tables side by side...perfect. I'd take what you can get and work with them at check in. Good luck...by the way, we ate at H&V at 5:20 and had plenty of time for the start of the 7:30 show.

The CM told me that the only time the computer would allow her to enter for the dinner package was between 4 and 4:30...later times should open as it gets closer to time, right??

yep... at least that's how it worked for us last year... we also had a 4:20 but were able to change it to 6pm

Every time I make a PS change, I check for the Fantasmic package, always booked. But each CM has told me that they open up many more slots, at later times on the 30 day mark and to call back then. And, we're almost there!

Yes, you can wait for the 30 day out window in hopes you can capture a time slot but I found it much easier to just book a PS without the Fantasmic package at 90 days out...then about 20 days before we left, I called and was able to "upgrade" my original PS with the package........no problem and this way I was assured the dinner time our family required.
