Protein rich snacks?

Most of the foods that can be had for snack credits are sweets. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE sweets but sometimes a protein rich snack is what I need. I'm guessing some of the smoothies probably have a decent amount of protein but wanted to ask your opinions of other snacks that would qualify.

thanx

That's a great question! I have a vegetarian in the family and it's good to know where I can find some protein sources for her.
The only smoothies I have had a WDW were not like a dairy based smoothie. No yogurt, milk or anything like that. They were more like a slushy - iced based drink. Refreshing yes! But likely not very nutritious!

They have nuts behind the pooh ride.... I'm sure they have them other places too. They are terrific!

You may find some savory protein containing snacks esepcially at Epcot.
At Animal Kingdom, you can get chicken fried rice.
There may be a couple places where you can get pork egg rolls.

There really aren't a ton of savory snack items any more. You can check the "confirmed snacks" sticky in the board. You will notice that many of the savory items have been discontinued as snacks (chili at Casey's, egg rolls in some locations).

I figured Epcot would be pretty easy with the F&W Festival going on. Nuts are a good option but I was really hoping the MK, HS and AK would each have a place to get a yogurt based smoothie.

I'll look over the snack list and see what I find.

thanx

Maybe not a yogurt based smoothie, but yogurts~
There are vegetable/pork egg rolls in both the MK and AK on the ddp~ not necessarily protein, but more savory and less sugar.
In the MK in Liberty Square, there is a baked potato with cheese, sour cream, and butter (you can pick and choose) that is on the ddp.

Pop Century has hummus as a snack and many of the resorts have veggies, soups, etc. as snacks.

If you search thoroughly enough, you can find some decent non-sweet items. Don't solely go off the internet either, items are always changing. The best way to find them is to spend a few minutes looking at the menus in the venues themselves.
