Propane

If they are portable 20 or 30 lbs tanks, no. If it is a motohome tank then any propane supplier should be able to come out with a tanker to fill.

It's been a while since this was discussed on the board, crazyfordis, so I don't know the latest.

But the last word I had was that Disney refills tanks on an overnight basis. You take the tanks to the Meadow Trading Post and leave them outside while you go in to tell a Cast Member you are dropping off. There is a fenced wooden gate on the side of the TP facing 900 loop and the CM tags your tanks and you place them inside the fence. At some point each day Disney picks them up, fills them, and brings them back the next day when they pick up the next day's batch.

Pricing wasn't too bad compared to what you would pay elsewhere IIRC. I don't recall the time each day when the pick up and returns occur. But again, this answer relates to portable tanks - as PaHunter says, may be different process for the big guys.

Agree with Ed.^ I'd ask at the Meadow Store if you need a large tank filled.

Oh my, crazyfordis, I see the top post is only your second one EVER on the DIS but you joined nine years ago ....

Where ARE my manners?

:welcome: to the DIS Camping Board/Forum :disrocks:

We were all new posters (newbies) here once. So if you have a question - ask away some more.

Yep, they tag them and you can pick them up the next day. As Ed said, the pricing is not too bad considering you only have to take it up there and drop it off and not have to worry about taking it to a location off site.

Yes, we had to on one of our trips. Arnold put our name, site # on the bottle. But can't remember the cost.

I don't recall ever spending that much on propane even when we stayed in 2018. Propane prices are around 3.99 a gallon in the kissimmee area right now. I am trying to find my notes, but I recall the price for a 30# refill might have had a premium on it, but I did not have to drive 20 minutes one way to get it refilled.

I recall something in the high 20's when I did it once, but that was in 2015 I believe, so anything with Disney and exploding prices wouldn't surprise me.
