Printing SW tickets?

We are going down in a little over a month. We have yet to book our flight...oops! I was looking at SW today. We have never used them for Disney before, but they are so cheap and you cant beat the free luggage. How do you print the boarding passes? We will be leaving from the Contemporary on Oct 1, but I would hate to have to go to the office center to get a printout after MNSSHP on our last night.Is that the only way? We would be paying for the early bird thing. Does that make a difference?

You can have them printed at guest services at any hotel or park. If you are at MK, they can do it at City Hall. Just have your confirmation #'s.

What are you doing about luggage? Checking at the hotel? Checking at the airport? Carryon only?

You could have the RAC desk print your boarding passes. They may even deliver them to your room the night before, not sure.

If you are doing EBCI I would just have them printed when you check in your luggage at the airport.

It's the checking-in part, not the printing-out part, that's important. If you use EBCI you can eliminate any inconvenience that may result from having to check in at the 24-hour mark and you can get your BPs printed later at RAC or even when you get to the airport. You will still get the numbers that were assigned when EBCI checked you in.

If you choose not to use EBCI you still should find some way to get checked in at the 24-hour mark. The front desk at any Disney resort or the guest services locations in any of the parks or at DTD will do it for you. You do have to be there with ID and your confirmation number, however. Alternatively, you can check in at mobile.southwest.com on any Web-enabled cell phone or other device as long as you have Internet access wherever you are. Finally, you can even arrange to have a trusted friend or relative (100 percent reliable) check you in from their computer. They will just need your confirmation number. If you have the resort or guest services CMs check you in they can print the BPs then, but it's not necessary. You still have the same options as noted above for EBCI.

The way I understood their response, they are checking in their luggage at the resort. I wouldn't want to stand in line at the airport just to get boarding passes. It's easier to get them printed at the resort and then head straight to security at the airport.

they have kiosks at the airport to reprint boarding passes on the way to screening. all you need is your 6 character reservation number, Rapid rewards number or you can swipe your charge card to reprint. use it all the time. (A-List checks me in)

No need to pay $10/person each way for SW's EBCI. For me I just log in on my cell phone 24 hours before departure to check in and then have our hotels front desk print our boarding passes later. If no smartphone or PC they can check you in and print your boarding pass. Without EBCI its a good idea to check in right at 24 hours prior.

If you checked in using your phone or PC you can also print your boarding pass when you arrive at the airport. There are kiosks near SW's ticket counter for this purpose. Your boarding group (A,B or C) was assigned at the time you checked in so the boarding pass will reflect that regardless of when its printed.

If you pay for EBCI, you have no worries about checking in at the 24 hour mark. The EBCI feature automatically checks you in at the 36 hour mark. We get this feature for the trip home for that very reason - no worries about having to check in at the 24 hour mark when you'd rather be having fun somewhere. Yes, you could check in with a smart phone, but you still have to remember to do it. I'd rather pay the EBCI fee and not worry. It's vacation!!

It doesn't matter when you actually print out the boarding pass if you have EBCI. You will still get the best boarding number available at the 36 hour mark when SWA checks you in, even if you don't physically print out your pass until the last minute.

So if you are using RAC for the trip home, just have them print the passes for you. If not, then print them at the airport.

This is yet another reason EBCI is so great, and I disagree with the previous poster's statement that there is "no need to pay for EBCI." Not everyone has a smart phone or web-enabled phone, and not everyone wants to be or even can be at a resort or park guest services at the 24hr mark. And even if you do have a smart phone, it isn't always convenient to check in. For instance, on our last trip I noted to myself that at our 24hr mark we were in the "boarding" area for Soarin. I get absolutely no signal deep inside that building (same is true for other rides as well) so I would have had to sit around and wait on our check-in time before getting in line for the ride. For $10 per person, I'll gladly skip that hassle!
