86 DAYS LEFT!! I was going to go ahead and wait a little bit to share some pictures, but I took some precious pics of Ashlyn this morning and just had to share them!! To start off, here's what we've had on our countdown calendar (I'll post updated pics of the countdown calendar I think every 10 days).
91 Days: Ashlyn colored a picture from her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse coloring book. Well, actually she colored two because she was having so much fun!
90 Days: Aaron's birthday is coming up so I ordered his birthday present.
89 Days: It was Friday so we went to story time at the library and picked out a couple of new books.
88 Days: We had a mini movie night tonight. When I was planning the activities for our calendar, we weren't sure if Aaron would be here or if he would be leaving for Virginia this day for a two week class. So I had planned just to watch something and maybe do a craft, nothing big. But Aaron ended up not going to the class so at the last minute we planned a meal around it. Anyway, we just watched the Minnie's Bowtique episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We didn't do a craft, but we had Minnie's BOW tie pasta and cheese and crackers.
For dessert we had MINI Snickers.
Nothing big, but it was fun. Our next real movie night is The Sword in the Stone!
87 Days: Take pictures of Ashlyn in her Cinderella costume. I wanted to take pics because she is having a Disney princess birthday party when she turns 2 in a few months and I wanted time to play around with making invites. THIS is the reason why I just had to make an update today.
Isn't she just gorgeous?
She's never worn a dress like this before and she kept twirling the skirt around like she was born wearing a princess dress.
It was too sweet.
A friend of mine made that headband. I ordered it with those colors to match the dress and told her what they were for. My friend loves Disney, too, and added the rhinestones so it would be fit for a
We have the tiara that matches the dress and shoes (and the shoes are just for dress up. We know the ones we bought that I posted about before will be much more comfy around the parks!) but she'll be much more likely to keep the headband in than keep the tiara on.
We haven't even done our activity for today.
But I think it'll be cool to do the countdown calendar updates on the 10 day marks so I'll be back at least in a week or so. Sooner if I have any other updates.

Maybe I can get her to go for a Disney costume this year! She LOVES Alice in Wonderland!
that picture! That's cool that Madison wore so many Disney costumes. This will be Ashlyn's first year dressed in a Disney costume. Her first Halloween she was 1 month old so we dressed her in ladybug pj's (where the little cap had antennae and everything) and that was her outfit. It was really cute. When she was 1 she was a tulip fairy (even won the Cutest Costume prize at the elementary school's Halloween party). It'll be cool to see if Madison will wear an Alice in Wonderland costume this year!
) and the doctor we see has a conference that day! Out of all the days in September, he has a conference on the day we were planning around!!!
I have an idea or two of how we might be able to make it work, but it will be a lot of added expenses so I'm not sure if we'll be able to afford it. We could always extend our stay in Florida (even if we don't extend the Disney portion of the trip), try to switch from POFQ to Pop, little things like that. So the trip isn't completely thrown out the window or anything, but I had to get on and get it all off my chest. I'm a little stressed and Aaron is at the range today so I can't get a hold of him (well, I could if I needed to, but I only would if it were an emergency... it'd be different if he was at his office). I knew you all would understand and let me vent here. And I do feel a little better being able to freak out a little in the safety of other Disney fanatics.
So thank you for bearing with me and I'll keep you updated on what we decide to do!
luck your way!
Oh well, I'm thinking we'll wait to do BBB when we have a longer trip and she's even just a year older and can enjoy it even more.
Technically I'm still not sure if we're going, but we probably will. And if we do, we'll be leaving the island a few days earlier than previously planned, but I'm just going with what we have for now.
How was yours?
so I suspect they'll be going to kohl's too! Gotta appreciate a disney-scoop!
