Well I have my 7 night Alaska June 2011 inside stateroom on hold. We have until October 1st to put the deposit down. My hubby just got home from work and we are discussing if we want to but the $2400.00 deposit down or wait or possibly choose another cruise line. To me this seems really expensive plus we won't have a view. I wasn't expecting to put such a huge deposit down. I wonder if I wait it out if the deposit will go down or if we will get a better deal when we book on our upcoming cruise? This might be a deal breaker for us.

So if DU has my ressie & I'm waiting on them I CAN'T xfer it myself?? I have to book new? OMG this is frustrating. I don't know what to do...I have a new ressie started....but have only picked the room so far...meanwhile I am trying to keep tabs on my orig. to be sure she hasn't done it yet...

YEAH!!! Just checked my future cruises again, I clicked into the ressie, as on the first page it wasn't updated and I"m booked 6610 and most likely also 6611 on 8/23/11 ALASKA!!! I'll have to wait on pricing, as it doesn't show. YIPPEE!!!!!!

Click into the ressie, I"m also with DU and the summary page isn't updating, if you click the ressie number it might be updated. Mine was....

The deposit was a HUGE shocker!! But as for the price going down, I really doubt it, because then they would have to refund all of the price watchers out there...and I honestly unfortunately don't see the deposit going down again soon.

Tough decision, I know it was for us!

Do some 6A's hold 4 people? I saw that available online, but was afraid to book it b/c of that.

Which 6A's hold 4 people?

Not sure which ones. The rep could have been wrong, but it was allowing her to book 4 as a GTY in a 6a room. It may be that if you book a 6a GTY, then you'll get bumped up to a 5 - not sure.

Got through on the CC number someone posted earlier in about 20 minutes - 888-272-0232- thank you!!!! The regular line had not picked up at 90 min and the regular cc number at 60 min

No cat R or S suites available at all any dates in June July or Aug except Aug 30th which we can't do. Booked Aug 16th two connecting cat Ts midship which I hear are quite spacious, but it costs about 20% more than a cat R. So we'll see. Wait-listed for cat R and S

Will post rates after I see the breakdown on the website, and after I tend to my sick child and take a shower.

If I remember right it was about 5K per adult and 1300 per child

We'll be celebrating my oldest's 13th b'day on board if we go!!!
