I'm confused (not unusual ) -- our invoice from last week shows a total of $687 in port fees. Does your quote above include the port fees in the individual fares? If so, then you not only did good -- you did excellent. Your quote for the 7/9 compared to mine for the 7/30 is actually LESS for the same category by about $110!

However, in comparing online with my ressie I notice that the fees and taxes is showing as less on the DCL website than what is on my invoice from last week. So maybe the fees dropped

Have you been in that room before?? I was surprised to see it there...along with another date that I didn't ask for . Anyone know how I can drop that one that I don't want, certainly don't want to take a room from someone that I won't use?

No I haven't. I've stayed in 6616 before, so close by. LOVED the location, until we got hooked on cat 4's. We're booking the 5c with an 11b across the hall and this stateroom was the closest go 6616 that was non connecting with an 11b across the hall. The 5c/11b combo is 2k cheaper than booking a 4b.... So we're going for more room and CHEAPER!!!!!

I got it! 1/6/11 EB PC for 2A1C, Cat 9B. I booked the PC right at 5am online, then, checking the boards, saw that you can transfer a res online, so I re-did and changed my existing res (made onboard) and got the additional 10% off. Yahooooo! I just got off the phone and cancelled the 1st res. I only had to put down 1/2 the deposit since my res was originally made onboard, so only $900 total. So awesome!

My friend, Snow White Vee got on, too. We just got off the phone with DCL and linked our ressies.

We changed our mind as to which cabin we wanted. Decided we wanted to be on port side afterall, so I booked the cruise myself this morning and sent an email to DU to tell them not to book (nothing from them in my CC account shows as booked yet) the original request. I will transfer my ressie to DU, just not sure if I should do it now or after our December cruise where I hope to get the 10% discount by rebooking.

We are going 8/16 to Alaska. 2A CO5A $4,867.26 (yes to transfer, no to insurance)

Sounds like a GREAT plan! Nothing like saving money...especially when it is so expensive.

I just looked in my Passporter, because we do NOT want a verandah that is solid or with that plexiglass...I don't think that 6610 has that.

Waiting to get through to book with Costco...My friend is on hold with Costco while I'm conferencing with her on Skype: a three way conversation. Our Costco agent has been on hold with DCL for 1 hr. 50 min. We're trying to book two cabins next to each other for the Western in Oct. 2011.

Help me! LOL... DU is supposed to be transferring a rebooked ressie for me with the 50% deposit but the SPH rooms are down to 2. Do I book a whole new ressie and pay a full deposit then tell her or what? Do I just xfer my own? Help! I'm sooo stooooopid right now!

In case anyone needs them, for all the cruises I looked up, I do have the break down by each adult, each child, and Govt Taxes and Fees if you need them.

Yes, nerd head set herself up with some templates, then just had to scribble by cruise. Took me longer to type in here than get the quotes, I think.

I was VERY impressed with how fast the website seemed to be.

Annie, if all you are waiting for is for DU to transfer an existing OB, then I'd go ahead and do it myself online. Then send them an email telling them that you already did it. Even if they then try to do it themselves for you, it should come up in the system as already done, so then they shouldn't do anything.

Up to you. You'll prob get stuck with paying full deposit, it that worth it to you for the SPH? You won't be able to edit it yourself, as DU already has control of the ressie, so you'll have to book new and hope DU dan transfer OBB goodies to it.

I nee help, since I haven't seen anything from DU either by email or in my future cruises I keep obsessively checking pricing for my cruise. No longer checking stateroom availability as I don't want to catch her in the middle and screw up cabin availability. So far, no increase!!!!!
