Priceline Express Deals

If it is a refundable deal you can cancel online very easily. First login to your priceline account, find your trips under profile and then click on itinerary for the stay you want to cancel, then there find the button/click for cancel, press that then on the next page click cancel again. Over the years I've cancelled many booked hotel stays. If the booking starts the 27th then it would need to be cancelled before the 22nd.

I've also successfully cancelled a nonrefundable Disney hotel reservation (not a PE) by asking Priceline to call the Disney wholesale number. A woman at wholesale gave me that tip, she said priceline might go along with it since Disney wouldn't be charging priceline a fee for a cancellation up to 5 days before booking. I would have been ok with the reservation as is but shortly after I booked the nonrefundable one, I found a resort deal I liked better and thought it was at least worth a try to cancel the first one. At first I got nos from the customer service people at priceline (tried chat and also called) but when I called again and mentioned for them to talk to Disney wholesale it went great. I wouldn't count on this working though all the time or with other hotel chains.

Thanks! Saving (with the understanding that the last portion can't be counted on).

I edited my post to explain that different hotels might have different days before the reservation to cancel by to avoid a fee. The date will be shown to you before you book the room. For Disney hotels, if it is refundable room, it is 5 days both on the Disney site and the 3rd party bookings I've seen.

I've never done the Priceline thing but DH and I are thinking about going 6/30-7/2 (no kids). Anyone see any great deals for those dates? My brain is scrambled after trying to figure it out for the last hour!

I took a look for you, but didn't see anything:worried:

There’s not much in the way of express deals but the transparent deals look good. Depending on whether you’ll have a car I’d take Coronado at $157/night or Hilton Bonnet Creek at $85 a night. My husband and I have stayed at both and we love the pools at each. I think both are nice and adult/romantic/upscale without breaking the bank. AKL in the ~$260 range is also amazing!

Just booked my first PL Deal though it wasn’t express. Super excited! I got CSR for $149 a night last week of June using the retailmenot 8% code.
My confirmation only came through for 2 adults even though I was searching for 2 adults and 2 kids. I know I have to call the wholesale number in the morning to get my kids added (they’re currently closed), but is that when I’ll be able to link it to MDE as well?

Out of an abundance of caution I would say yes, wait until wholesale helps you add the kids before linking. Though for posterity’s sake, the confirmation number in the email from PL works to link to MDE even though it looks “weird” compared to disney’s usual numbers (that often start with 4).

I tried linking with the PL confirmation number and got a message that it wasn’t recognized. Maybe because I did it only about thirty minutes after booking with PL?

I waited until the next day with mine. Booked my POFQ reservation around 10:00 pm last night and was able to link it to MDE around 9:00 this morning. The systems do take some time to “talk”. Though I will note my AKL reservation that I cancelled today has also unlinked from MDE after about 12 hours as well.

@runwad
This is great advice from pepperandchips. You might not see low prices like that again after GE opens. They may not be as great as some of the PE deals out there for other dates but they are solid savings over the average price paid.

I booked for July with Priceline last night, and the reservation linked. Today I got an email from WDW with the correct dates but a different confirmation number and a 0 day countdown. Anyone else? Trying to decide if I call disney or just assume the dates being right in the email and mde means it's ok

I believe this link is a Port Orleans French Quarter for $103 for those dates.
It is a 3* 9+ Guest Rating in Disney Springs. POFQ is the only resort with that rating in that location AFAIK. Hotel Canary agreed.

Of course, I'd triple check I got all of that right in the search since you don't want to completely trust a random dude like me. ;)

Good luck!

@JJTNY i think you're right because I get it as a VIP deal when I search (I've already booked POFQ on PLE)
