Priceline Express Deals

Please don't hold it against me for hoping that you are :)

Just wondering, now often do people check the sites for potential updates on pricing?
Having been researching the Express Deals timing for the last year, the best I can offer after all this time is: they change up things a LOT.

I think a good tactic is to check your dates at least once or twice a week in the more distant months leading up to your trip. Then, in the last 2 months I'd start checking daily.
Also, try moving your date window around a little if you have wiggle room in your travel dates - sometimes that will offer up more deals than if you just look at one set of dates.
Also, keep an eye on this thread and other places on the Internetz and you might get a tip-off if a big deal drop happens.

With Galaxy's Edge coming, anybody's guess is as bad or good as another's what kind of deals happen when it opens.

Just wanted to mention that retailmenot still has a code for 8% off. You have to click through from RMN and then enter the code but it’s worth checking on. Priceline also had some good prices for transparent deals over the 4th of July if anyone is looking. Mods around $200 per night and AKL for $266/night.

I found a price of 207 (plus Resort Fee) for the Swan for my dates... while nowhere near the prices that I've seen that some got, I'm wondering if this is considered a decent rate for Sept (7-13)?
Would you consider taking it or pass on it?

Personally I would pass on that one. For $250 a night you could prob get an actual Disney moderate resort. But if you really love the Swan it’s a decent rate, it’s just not an amazing rate:)

Crazy blind deals alert: for July 3-July 7, I just found French Quarter on Priceline for $103 per night (remember to use the retailmenot 8% off code) Hotwire had Pop Century for the same dates for $82 per night.

Whoa! For the same dates, Priceline also has a Value for $79/night. Just when I was going to stop checking for the summer...

I forgot to mention the dang FOUR SEASONS is also on Hotwire for about $315 a night. I was sorely tempted but frugal heads prevailed - that’s an amazing rate at an incomparable resort if anyone else is interested though.

Sorry, new to this, how can I tell it it French Quarter for $103?
There are some tutorials around the Disney fan community - here’s one from Touring plans: https://touringplans.com/blog/2018/10/23/using-hotel-canary-to-book-priceline-express/

The way I narrowed this deal down was by filtering Priceline’s neighborhood to “Walt Disney World - Disney Springs” and then looking to see which hotel matches the express deal for the hotel’s star rating (3.5 stars) and number of reviews. It’s not always this clear but this one was fairly obvious. It’s not for the faint of heart as booking blind deals is an inexact science but if you are good with details it can be a fun “game”.

Going around the same dates (2nd to 8th) sadly missed out on these good PE deals but found and booked POP for 81 a night - not PE but nonrefundable. RMN code for 8% off worked.

edit to correct:- FQ is still there for cheap.

Oh I need to hop on and check for late July. I know swan is cheap and that’s my backup plan.
