Price increase and BCV waitlist

All,

We have been on the waitlist to add points at the BCV for almost a year now and, upon calling our guide, were informed that there are 11 people ahead of us with the same request.

My understanding, which was confirmed by our Guide, is that we would be able to purchase at the pre-increase add-on price.

Our Guide indicated, however, that we are only locked into that older price if we purchase within a year of entering the waitlist and that this date is a couple of weeks away.

This is a surprise to me, although not completely unreasonable I suppose.

Can anyone confirm that this is accurate? As I can still get SSR at the pre-increase price up until about the same time, I may have a decision to make.

I have heard a different "story". I heard the "locking" in would only hold until the end of July. This really would only affect BCV since all other resorts are "coming thru" within a month.

It's sad that DVC cannot get BCV contracts to sell to members. But, I do think you are probably "hosed" on getting around the price increase.

I know what you mean but I would like to make use of Disney's financing.

On the subject of the price increase... If I understand correctly, it is not the amount of time that you have been on the waitlist that is important when it comes to locking in to the older price but rather the fact that the old prices stay in effect for those wanting to do add-ons until some time in July? Basically a one month grace period?
