My children DS 6 and DD almost 5 really loved collecting the pressed penny at WDW last time they were there in 2003. We will be going again this DEC but for only four days so will not have much time for collecting and searching Is there a map of where some of the pressed penny are and what pennies they have???

Thanks :wizard:

You can obtain a list of the pressed penny machines and their location by going to any of the guest relations in the parks.

Make sure you look through your pennies beforehand and find all the pre-1982 ones for use in the pressed penny machines. Sometime in 1982, the US mint started producing zinc pennies with a thin coating of copper. I prefer the solid copper pennies in the penny presses (although some prefer the marble cake effect that you get with the newer zinc/copper pennies).

The CR has a whold bunch of pressed penny machines near the elevators.

Also, go into the gift shop at Disney Quest. Head towards the exit turnstiles for DQ. Right before the turnstiles, on the gift shop side, is an original WDW penny press. (At least last time I looked awhile back.)

The following is part of a post I rec'd through my smashie collecting group. I took this checklist with me on our trips and it's wonderful! It tells you, by park/hotel/etc, where each machine is and which designs are in how many machines. If I make a return trip, I can simply download the updated list, check off the ones my old list says I have, and go from there so I don't spend money duplicating coins.

HTH!

http://www.themeparkfreaks.com/ it is located as a downloadable MS-
Word .doc file for printing and taking with you to the parks to make
sure you get every coin available. With DISNEY, it is a boat load!

We should be updating our Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure List
this month, as well as Sea World. We have also started to compile a
state wide list for Florida. If you would be interested in helping
with the ThemePark lists or the Florida list, please let me know.

Thank you so much everyone for all your help! :flower:

We leave in 7 days! :cool1: :cool1:
