Here is what my DDs and I came up with at lunch the other day: Martin has a nagging feeling that he should have a paternity test on the baby. (After all, if Sandy slept with HIM on the first date, how many others have there been?) They eventually figure out that the baby is Simon's. Rose is furious and the engagement is off. Simon and Sandy end up together (with the series ending with their church wedding with the cast of thousands in attendance) and Ruthie and Martin become involved. I think we'll see Matt at the wedding but not Mary.
Anybody else care to wrap up the series?

I also think all of them having twins was too hokey (even for 7th Heaven). I am sure there is some reason Jessica Biehl was used the way she was, but I really wish she had of just been at the wedding. I also wish they would have had a scene with Matt/Ruthie and Simon/Ruthie. I was still feeling nostalgic and weepy.
Thanks CJK! Someone came to my door and I missed part of the middle... I was sure I had missed Simon & Rose calling it off! I am so glad to know what happened.CJK said:I liked how we didn't actually SEE Simon/Rose call the wedding off. It was a clever way to keep us guessing.
