Predict the end of "Seventh Heaven"; will Simon marry Rose?

i cant believe it ended like that

what do you guys think about all the babies ?

My thoughts:

I LOVED the opening song having Matt and Mary in the opening. I'm embarassed to admit I was tearful knowing it may be the last time they're all in the credits. Yes, crazy!!

I liked how we didn't actually SEE Simon/Rose call the wedding off. It was a clever way to keep us guessing.

I liked how Sandy came in and insinuated that Simon was the father.

I liked seeing Matt/Sara/Carlos/Mary.

I didn't buy that Matt, Mary & Lucy are ALL having twins (even if twins run in the family). I just can't buy that all 3 kids are having twins at the same time.

I thought there was one too many fantasy about what would happen at the altar b/w Simon and Lucy by Rev. & Mrs. Camden. It was a good idea, but went a little long.

Basically, I liked the episdoe with the exception of the twins thing and too many fantasies.

I wonder if there will be a spin off?

I'm happy that the writers didn't have Simon marry Rose but I thought the whole twin thing was pretty lame. It seems like they take a theme each episode and beat it to death. It's probably a good thing that we don't see all the twins after they're born. If twin intelligence (or lack thereof) runs in the family, the show would be unbearable!

I really didn't care for it. Like already said, didn't like everyone having twins, the fantisies etc. I find it highly unlikely that both Matt/Sarah and Mary/Carlos would keep the prenancies a secret for so long.

I also didn't like that Mary didn't come to the wedding (although of course she might have not been available to shoot within the shows schedule).

Personally it would have been better if Sandy did say Simon is the father and they got married. Mary not PG but back wiht Carlos, Matt/Sarah with twins and Lucy/Kevin with twins and Simon finding out the baby is his. That would make 7 grandkids.

and there is the spinoff

i knew lucy was going to say they were having twins, but for the rest of them.. give me a break

This episode was so weird. Everyone is having twins...I had a feeling that was what all the joyous news was but yikes!

Hope the spinoff will happen rumors have been flying left and right but I guess until someone confirms them they are just rumors.

I thought that was an interesting ending. I just hope that the show gets picked up and continued.

Does that not make 8 grandchildren - possibly 9?

They already have 2 - Mary and Lucy

6 more with the 3 sets of twins

And possible Simon being the father of Sandy's.

Yep I get 9 grandkids. Like I said if it ended they way I "wanted" it would have made 7

Okay, all you Seventh Heaven fans. How is all going to end?

Here is what my DDs and I came up with at lunch the other day: Martin has a nagging feeling that he should have a paternity test on the baby. (After all, if Sandy slept with HIM on the first date, how many others have there been?) They eventually figure out that the baby is Simon's. Rose is furious and the engagement is off. Simon and Sandy end up together (with the series ending with their church wedding with the cast of thousands in attendance) and Ruthie and Martin become involved. I think we'll see Matt at the wedding but not Mary.

Anybody else care to wrap up the series?

OP here. I was sort of right...I knew the whole season the baby was Simon's. And I did predict one set of twins and that everyone else would be pregnant. An okay ending, I guess.

I was a little disappointed. I would have rather they used the time for more interaction between the family than the fantasy sequence. I also think all of them having twins was too hokey (even for 7th Heaven). I am sure there is some reason Jessica Biehl was used the way she was, but I really wish she had of just been at the wedding. I also wish they would have had a scene with Matt/Ruthie and Simon/Ruthie. I was still feeling nostalgic and weepy.

Ditto!

There was one too many fantasy sequences (if they had to have them at all). I wish Jessica Beihl could have just been at the wedding with Carlos instead of in the fantasy sequence. It was an odd way to end a series.

I would love to have seen a good Matt/Ruthie, I've always loved their relationship. He always treated her as an 'equal" and not a little kid.

I agree that there was way too much time devoted to the fantasy sequences. I think Ruthie's character is the one that they've just forgotten about. She was so important early in the series. She and Simon had so many adventures together and were so close...shouldn't THEY have been having the heart to hearts in the last few weeks? Instead, they leave her with a new Scottish boyfriend...big deal...

I knew that something was up when Rose's hair was up and then down. Also when she whistled after she was kissed by what's his name.

The twin thing is too much.

I also think that they have been leading up to Simon being the father of Sandy's baby all along the last two seasons.

Thanks CJK! Someone came to my door and I missed part of the middle... I was sure I had missed Simon & Rose calling it off! I am so glad to know what happened.

I agree they beat the fantasy thing to death & it was a bit sappy but doesn't that describe 7th Heaven... emotional & repetitive! Very endearing characters but you only had to watch 10 minutes of the show to know what was going on. I usually watched during the commercials of what ever else I was watching. Watching people eat Oreos is one of my favorite pastimes but really...

A sequel would be great but after 13 years they are all probably ready to move on.

Oh, and I know Sandy is a brunette but if Simon is the father, wouldn't you think the baby would be a little fairer skinned?? He "looked" like Martins child... but I know that's not what they implied.

It was really bad how it ended, IMO. I expected so much more.

Okay I was very suprised by the twin thing. I can't believe that matt and sarahkept her pregancy a secret for so long. I'm not suprised mary and carlos did though. but where was mary's little boy.
