here is the recap (from the wb website)
What's the message?
Sometimes the timing is right to reveal a secret.
What's up with Kevin?
He's entertaining Savannah in her highchair by spinning his wedding ring on the tray in front of her. He goes to answer the phone and turns his back on Savannah for a few seconds. When he returns his ring is gone. He thinks Savannah has swallowed it. He gets Eric to go to the hospital with him and Savannah.
What's up with Annie?
The owner of the rundown home she is trying to buy to turn into a teen shelter wants $50,000 more for the house. Annie yells at him (Mr. Reilly) on the phone and puts a "curse" on the man.
What's up with Rose & Simon?
Rose tells Lucy she knows she and Kevin were planning to give her and Simon money to pay for Rose's ring as a wedding present. Rose asks Lucy if she can give them the money now so Simon wouldn't have to work so hard to pay off the ring. She also tells Lucy about Simon taking incompletes in his classes. Rose also confronts Simon about dropping the classes. They argue about the ring, and Rose ends up telling him she doesn't want Simon to resent having bought her the ring. He tells Rose maybe she'd be happier with Umberto, and that they shouldn't get married. Rose agrees and gives Simon the ring back.
What's up with Eric?
He tries to keep the twins from revealing his secret about his replacing his wedding ring years ago. However, he learns from Ruthie that Annie has known about the replaced ring all along.
What's up with Lucy?
She comes home to find Kevin and Savannah gone. She calls Kevin to find out where he is, but Kevin doesn't reveal that he's taken Savannah to the hospital. Later, as Lucy is cleaning up the house she finds Kevin's ring.
How it all ends up:
Mr. Reilly comes to the Camdens' house to ask Annie to take the curse off of him. He tells Eric he's sentimental about the house Annie wants to buy: He grew up there with his mom. But, now he's rich and has 37 homes. Eric tells him about Annie's plans for the home. Mr. Reilly says he doesn't think his mother would have approved of a home for unwed mothers. But, Annie tries to convince him otherwise. Mr. Reilly says he's also superstitious about the curse Annie put on him. Eric "blesses" him and he feels better. He agrees to give Annie the building for free.
Simon calls Kevin and tells him he doesn't think he and Rose are going to get married. Kevin advises him that women don't always mean what they say, and that women aren't moody
they are moods. He encourages Simon not to make decisions out of fear. He tells him to decide whether or not he wants to marry Rose, then go for it. Simon takes his advise and he and Rose meet. She admits she was unrealistic about money, and he says he's hyper-responsible about money, which is why he was working so hard to pay off the ring. He didn't want them to start their lives together in debt. He takes the wedding gift check that Kevin and Lucy have given them and suggests he and Rose open a joint checking account. The wedding's back on.
When Kevin returns home, Lucy gives him back his wedding ring. She asks him if he ever lost his wedding band, would he buy a new one (like Eric did)? He says yes. But she tells him it wouldn't have the inscription in it. He didn't know the ring was inscribed. It says: "You bring out the best in me."
Annie tells Eric about how she knew he had purchased a replacement ring. The hotel where he left it sent it back to the house. She then knew he was wearing a replacement ring. So, she took the original ring and had it inscribed with "You bring out the best in me," and swapped it with the substitute ring. Annie reveals that all the Camden women have inscribed their husbands' rings with the same saying.
Later, Rose shows Simon his wedding band, and explains the Camden inscription that is in his ring.
