I registered Day 3 and the rest of the family Day 4 and we've gotten NOTHING so far! Getting very impatient!

With Pottermore opening to the public in about 3 1/2 weeks I wonder if welcome emails will be sent out more frequently soon.

And for the record I registered on day 5 and have gotten nothing... and of the 4 other people (registered between days 3-6) I know who registered none of them have gotten welcome emails yet either

It's still a beta test, whatever they're calling it. If they have enough testers to accomplish what needs doing, then there won't be any more given access until it goes public. In any beta test, you have to assume that some percentage of people who sign up won't actually participate, or won't participate effectively. To compensate, you get more testers lined up than you'll need. If it turns out you don't need them, then you don't give them access to the system.

I finally received mine in Tuesday's batch. I've been so busy at work, I only had time to get on briefly last evening. Hope to spend more time exploring this weekend. My fellah still doesn't have his. We both registered on Day 3. I'm StarThestral71.

As to the theory that they won't be sending out all of the million, I don't think that's likely. First, it would be a terrible PR move on Sony's part. Secondly, there are going to be millions if not billions of users when the site goes public. They'll have to have the entire million pool of beta testers stress testing the servers before they can hope to go public. I suspect as they make each tweak, the numbers in each pool of emails will increase. For example, first batch had a couple of thousand. By next week, they may send out 25,000 or 30,000 in the pools. There should be an acceleration of numbers as well as frequency (i.e., more than one batch of emails sent per day). That has been my experience with previous beta testing.

I got in a few weeks ago and got sorted in Hufflepuff. Still not sure how I feel about my house. It wasn't my first choice, but it also wasn't my last choice. I kind of stopped temporarily there, so I can slow down and try to make the 1st book last me awhile.

I have heard rumors that, to ensure roughly equal numbers get sorted into each house, the sorting may actually be determined by the birthday info you gave them when you initially registered and have nothing to do with the questions you answered.

Coincidentally, a friend of mine with the same birthday as me was also sorted into Hufflepuff. Suspicious, suspicious!
