Rose and Crown
We were really looking forward to this meal, and it lived up to most of our expectations. Unfortunately, we had eaten a big lunch that we had not worked off, and none of us were really all that hungry.
DH ranks this as his best meal, with Le Cellier a tight second.
My steak was rather stringy, or cheap tasting. It was not BAD, but it in no way compared to the Filet I had at L C. Tasted over-cooked, but wasn't. Tasted like I cooked it! LOL
The fish was awesome and HUGE!
Didn't take pics of appetizers. Highly recommend the Potato soup.
Steak in a Black and Tan sauce (yummy) and Fish, with mashed potatoes and green beans
Kid's Bangers and Mash on a kid's menu. They liked it o.k.
Kid's Bangers and Mash again
Adult portion Fish and Chips
Man, that's a big fish!
Fish with tartar sauce and lemon
Fish and steak again
Kid's Shepard pie - He cleaned his plate!
The bar. Love all the dark wood accents.
The illustrious STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING, which lived up to it's reputation of good eats. We split one and took one to go.
We'd like to go back when we aren't so stuffed. DH deemed his Black and Tan the best beer of the trip.
Fun, noisy atmosphere, and apparently your experience here, as with many of the other WDW restaurants, largely depends on your waiter.
We had Andrew from Scotland, who was training, and he was excellent.
