Hello all!
I have been lurking here in the shadows for months now, and finally have taken the plunge to talk about CROCS!!!
I am totally addicted to them! I have three pairs, hot pink, purple and black. I have orange Niles and one pair of the kind w/ NO holes at all (can't stand those because my feet sweat). I also just bought a pair of pink/yellow swirly ones at Payless. I have to tell you that after wearing Crocs, the Payless version isn't nearly as comfortable, but they'll do!
Anyway, I had to tell you guys a website where I ordered my last pair of Crocs. It's called Extreme Footwear. Sorry I can't post the URL but the website is just the name above typed all together! I had ordered my FIRST pair from the Crocs website and they were terribly slow and the shipping wasn't CHEAP. Then I heard about extreme footwear's site. They seem to have a great selection, PLUS FREE SHIPPING!!! It's actually cheaper for me to order them from this place than at a local store, because there's no sales tax either.
I have heard from a very few people that the shoes rub up against their feet. One friend had this happen, but the shoes eventually broke in. The key is getting the right size. They are definitely sized different than normal shoes (bigger). You need to make sure there's about an inch between your heel and the back of the shoe....don't worry, the strap won't come off your heel (not sure how they were able to do this, it's always amazed me!) and the shoes don't fly off your feet!
I work in a hospital and TONS of staff wear these. They are great for people on their feet all day. And have you seen Mario Batali on Food Network? Every show I see him on he has ORANGE ones on! They even make a "professional" model now, which is targeted to health care workers....
I feel badly for those of you who don't have Crocs in your area!!! One day I'm sure that will change! I live in central Illinos and there are tons of places that sell them here - even the HALLMARK store has them!
Oh, and have you seen the little buttons you can put in the holes of the crocs? Those are way cool. I'm sorry but I can't recall the name of them at the moment.
