FYI...Payless has children's sizes in the Airwalk version. We just jumped on the croc bandwagon but don't have anywhere w/in 50 miles that sells the real thing, so went to our local payless and found enough to satisfy us! My DD who is 6 wears a size 11 shoe and they had lots of colors available for her...plus I saw smaller than her size shoe as well, so I think you would find an 8-9 easily there.
Thanks payless has a toddler 5!!!! Now I just have to pick colors. Dh is going to look at me like I'm crazy when I tell him I ordered sandals.LOL

For those of you going "el-cheapo" like myself :teeth: , and buying the airwalk's at Payless. I found these coupons. Some are for online, but if you click on the one that says save 10% or more...you can enter how much you will spend and it will give you a dollar amount off. I only got $2.00 off $30.00, better than nothing! These are used for in store only. Enjoy!

Has anyone tried the ones at Target? I saw that they had them but I wasn't sure that I could get over the ugliness. They are starting to grow on me though. :)

The ones at Target are horrible. Very hard. Not like the real ones. I have a pair of orange Caymans that I wore through Disney and they were awesome (though they did rub a blister when they got wet and I didn't have on socks). Next time, socks!
I'll have to try the payless ones... they sound fabulous!

Does anyone have a dh who has a pair? We saw just 1 man in the parks wearing them. My dh is wiling to try a pair.

My DH  has Plantar Faciaitis, a very painful heel condition, and he wears his crocs EVERYWHERE. They have literally saved him from this terrible condition, since all the good arthritis meds have been pulled from the market. He keeps them on in the house and wears them out.. . . I think he would wear them to work if it was acceptable. He even told his Dr., who is now recommending them to others. :woohoo:

This time next week we will be at DW. . . in our crocs!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

By the way....I also have labs...7 of them! In fact.....BYC stands for BLACK YELLOW CHOCOLATE!!

:rotfl2: Good one! I still need the black one to have the complete set. Someday I'll get him and his name will be Stout (my Yellow is lager and my Chocolate is Porter!)

Sorry to hijack with all the Lab talk, now back to the SHOES! :dog2:

Did you have to talk your DH into trying these?? My DH HATES HATES HATES sandals, but last trip we both got a pair of Keens (anybody like these???) I LOVE my Keens but DH got blisters from his. I'm just not sure he would wear these. Actually, I didnt even know they made them for men. I have a 2yr DS...would it be weird to get him a pair for our fall trip? They just seem "girlish"????????? :confused3

My father (who is almost 60 and is also preparing for a total knee replacement) has a pair of the black Airwalk ones from Payless and he loves them! He doesn't wear them to work, but as soon as he gets home, he puts them on and wears them around the house.

Tara-

Glad you found them at Payless! These are great.

I've decided I should be getting a free pair from our local Payless for the number of pairs of these shoe's I've sold for them. I work in a middle school and now have every other teacher, parapro and office worker wearing them...now the kids are starting to come in with them too. I had several kids stop me today (I had my bright pink and yellow swirlies on) to compare their shoes and mine! I think the 100 pair I've sold definitely deserves a free pair for me!!!!

My 3 y/o DS has a black pair and wears them everywhere. We all wore ours to Disney World in July and did not have a single problem with our feet. I usually ALWAYS have blisters and foot pain by the second day, but not with our Crocs. :cool1:

Count me in!! UGLY shoes are mine!! :thumbsup2 My mom cant get over how UGLY they are, and I too suffer from plantar fascia, and used to have to use a cane, and have orthotics in my shoes, but nothing helps as those UGLY crocs...

I wore them to Disney in Oct, and gosh I cant get over the UGLY factor :rotfl2: I saw a FAMILY of croc weares go by... all in YELLOW crocs, and the dad had on BRIGHT ORANGE... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It was like seeing a DUCK family crossing :rotfl2:

Here is what I wore...

RyanBassoon100.jpg

It takes one to know one... :rotfl2:

Did I mention UGLY???

I personaly needed the crocs, so I didnt trust the "knock offs" I know that the Crocs are made from the special resin, and I know that people who work on concrete floors (ok, like grocery store people, you work in a building that has concrete floor, no padding - the cashiers have a special pad to help with their backs - thats what Crocs can do for you - gives you a wondeful stable soft standing... and they have a "natural" orthotic bed in the foot, and so it does realign your body - helps you conform!!

Gosh darn it, why do they have to be so UGLY???!

I did order the Nile style from www.crocs.com but because they arent as UGLY the strap hits my ankle in a place that I do get a blister (my ankles turn in, ie pronate!!) I do wear them as "Dressy" crocs :rotfl2: :rotfl2: but not for long walking times!!

I bought my two year old his first pair at Payless today! They started in Toddler size 5 here in lots of colors. He loves them and he is extremely picky! Mommy is going to find some Crocs tomorrow!

My DS15 loves his crocs and my DS5 loves his and there is nothing girlish bout them. They are both "all boy."

I took the strap off of my Niles and they are much more comfortable now. I would love to have a pair of the flip flop Style Crocs.

I don't have a pic yet but I just bought a pair yesterday for our upcoming trip. I got them in the color "butter" and I absolutely love them! I wore them to work for a long 9 hour day on my feet, and they were great. Thanks DIS boards, otherwise I would have probably never even discovered Crocs! :thumbsup2

Does anyone have a pair of the athens? aer they as comfortable as the others? I want to try these b/c they arent as UGLY...but if worse comes to worse I may buy the Niles...I just love the color combos on the flip flops!

Dd has 2 also . WE LOVE THEM. I only hace the real CROCS but when I was in Payless yesterday I way the ones they carry. They looked nice. They seemed comfy (I only had them on for a few minutes) but they seemed nice. they also told me that they are getting tie-dye colored ones in Feb!!!! FUN

Why can't he wear them to work? I wear mine nearly every day. I have a pair of the closed ones (can't remember the style name) in black that I wear with dressier outfits.
