What was the name of those tiny dolls? I remember Dawn but not the names of the others.

I remember the Dawn dolls! She was the blonde, then there was a redhead with green eyes named...uh...Gina? I remember my friends were mad 'cause the redhead was supposed to have straight hair, and somehow I got one that had wavy hair - she was beautiful! :)

Actually found a website devoted to these dolls:

http://www.persephone.com/dawn/meetdawn.html

The redhead's name was Glori - and I totally don't remember any of the other dolls on the page...but I do remember all of Dawn's clothes seemed to be sleeveless, and had a snap-collar top. :)

You just reminded me that "The Wonderful World of Disney" came on at 7:00 Sunday nights. Wild Kingdom followed it, and then Lawrence Welk.

Watching the Three Stooges with my dad when he got home from work. He'd sit there and laugh no end. :)

My parents paid $110 a year for my private school education. I can't get DS's books for that.

Converse sneakers

Little Kiddles

Weebles Wobble but they don't fall down

I remember when my oldest sister went to see the Beetles at Shea Stadium.

Alcohol commercials on TV....Harveys Brystol Cream

The jeans with the rainbow stitching that ran up the legs.

Gouchos

Madress shirts with the metalic thread running through them.

A time before computers, calculators, video games where the only thing to do was to watch tv or play board games.

The first EZ Bake oven.

The dolls that you pushed the belly button and the hair grew. I know one of them was called Carrie.

Hey, goofy girl.. that brings back memories...

I was in high school when the challenger blew up... some of us are older

I remember the first challenger flight in 1982 I believe. ... My school had one TV, and they fit as many kids as they could in the room to watch it land.

The same thing happend to me. Of course, we grabbed rulers and pointed them at people while hitting the space bar to get that cool machine gun effect

I sent off for the "Early bird" set of four Star Wars figures (offered by General Mills) and had them before they were released to the general public.

Like a fool, I played with them.

Our video game system came from Sears..it had Pong, Hockey, and two Grand Prix race games. I thought I was hot stuff with my Atari 2600 and Activision cartridges!

Yes, we learned history and grammer with School House Rock. I bought the DVD last week. I learned my moral lessons through Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids.

Yes, Speed Racer was my favorite cartoon as a kid....

I played "Centipede" on the video machines in bars when I was in college and the drinking age was 18 so I could be in a bar legally!

I remember no cable television. I remember getting excited when the UHF station came to town. I remember watching Walter Cronkite report about the Vietnam War on evening news. I was also born in the state of Hawaii a month before she became a state. My birth certificate states I was born in a territory. I remember my brother telling my mother that he had joined the Army and was off to fight the war and her begging him to wait until he was drafted.
