Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I'm not really sure how to post pics on here - but I'll try! I just bought cheap drawstring backpacks and added buttons to make Mickeys! I think they turned out super cute!

These are adorable. What a cute idea. :cutie:

I pondered this for many days and weeks and finally broke down and ordered the ebags Piazza bag. I think it is all that I am going to need. Last time I took a sling backpack from REI and I found myself not even coming close to filling it up. So, I wanted to get something smaller, but still big enough to take the essentials. Thanks for all of your suggestions and pictures. It really helped me to make my decision. I hope it will be a good one as we leave in less than 2 weeks!!!!!! :cool1:

Thank you mattsmom2000! I really can't sew but buttons are easy enough. I think they turned out pretty good!

Thanks DISers! As a result of reading this thread, I bought my mom a VB hipster (mesa red, on sale for $20) for our recent trip w/the extended family and she loved it.

I, on the other hand, thought I could get away with my Eddie Bauer mini backpack, like I do at home with a few diapers and wipes, but ended up carrying our Timberland day pack. Oh well! DD3 is out of diapers and DD18 months should be potty trained by our next trip :goodvibes

Mattsmom2000- love the button idea!!

I just bought DD and DS bags like yours for the plane and was trying to figure out how to decorate them.

Thanks for the great idea. :cool1: :cool1:

First off, what are the Disney bottle straps?

I was thinking of getting one of the VB hipsters. How do they fit "plus" sized gals (sz 18)? Also, what are the difference with the 2 hipsters on the site? Is one just a newer model?

I just got mine yesterday and tried it. It fits me just fine...and I'm about the same size. I think there is a mini and a regular sized one...and the $20 ones are the retired patterns. :)

I love the mickey button sling bags! You should think about making those to sell on eBay...I bet they'd be a hit among the Disney crowd.

We just ordered two of these from Disney Shopping. We used a nike version the last two times and it worked great for us. It was so light weight that you do not even feel it on your back even with quite a bit of stuff in it. I can't wait to use these next time we go:

This is what I have - but not Disney, just a mesh one. I found them on clearance one year at Foot Locker in Pink and Black...so I bought 4. :rolleyes1 IN case the mesh rips.

I agree - easy, light and perfect.

You should make more and sell them on eBay or ESTY. Seriously.

Wowza! Thanks everyone! The idea just popped into my head when I found a thread on here about Hidden Mickeys and I thought I could make them out of buttons!

Those are adorable! Where do you get those bags? I think I have a craft for dd on her day off of school this month!

I bought mine off of Amazon - I couldn't find them in stores anywhere around here. I know Oriental Trading sells them buy the dozen for cheap too!

Well, after all the time, energy and money I spent on searching for the Perfect Disney Bag, including buying both a Vera Bradley Hipster and a Travelon Slimline Messenger bag, I ended up using...

...a VB knock-off that I bought for $3.00 at a thrift store over Thanksgiving! :rolleyes1 The knock-off was just that little bit smaller than the VB Hipster, which made it work better for me.

So if anybody would like a new, never used (but without its tags) Vera Bradley Hipster in Caffe Latte, please PM me and I'm sure we can come to some reasonable accommodation! I could probably sell it on eBay, but I've never done any selling, and I'm intimidated by the prospect!

I SWARE by my Vera Bradley Hipster. It fit my water bottle, cash, snacks etc. and it was so lightwieght. The adjustable strap allowed me to sling it across my chest and it was PERFECT~

I am a sworn Vera addict now ever since my first hipster. I see her patterns in my sleep... They are on sale now for only $20. The link says $54 but just click on the patterns and the correct price will show...
