Post pics of your bag you carry into park

I hope you people here are happy, because you've gotten me addicted to Disney bags. ;) I think I need to go to some type of 12 step program. :rolleyes1

I have already bought the eBags Piazza, and the Overland Donner. I like both really well, and was debating on which one to take for our upcoming trip.

Then today I stopped at Marshall's to return something. While there I found a Kipling Lancelot bag for $29.99 (it's $62 on eBags). And I found a Quick Silver Whipper Snapper backpack on clearance for $10.00. Because of my bag addiction (which you all contributed to, lol), I bought both of those. So, I now have 4 Disney bags to chooose from before we leave next week.

I tell you, it's a sickness! :lmao:

Sherry- please let us know which you used and how you liked it- I have both the Piazza and Donner and am undecided myself...and still looking.;)

I am anxiously awaiting my Piazza bag from ebags.....:rolleyes1 It is due for delivery tomorrow. I am heading to the world Jan 16th thru 24th. I used the REI Mini Sling last year and I wanted something smaller. I am hoping this does the trick. And I know what you mean about being a bag addict. My husband said that we can open up a bag store from my closet...:rotfl: I will report on the bag when I get back. :thumbsup2

Here's mine:

LIMEGREENBAGGALINI.jpg

My very first Baggalini recommended by several Disboard members! ::yes::

I have the same bag, and I love it! :thumbsup2

I shopped and shopped before leaving home, only to find the best bag I've ever owned on our first day in the parks at Animal Kingdom - it's a small messenger bag with lots of pockets and cost less than $30. It's not waterproof but it sure is comfortable to use.

I'm also looking for a bag... I don't want silly tan lines but I also don't want to be sporting a fanny pack.

What is wrong with fanny packs? I have been to WDW 13 times always with fp and love the convenience

I saw that bag last time I visited AK and almost bought it. If DH would have looked away I would have. They also sell it and a larger one at AKL.

I used to use a fanny pack, but once I became 'Pooh sized' it wasn't so comfortable. I felt like it was sitting on my bladder all day, which wasn't comfortable. I did like the convience of it. Everything right there and hands free. I didn't like having to remove it everytime I used the restroom.

I found a fanny pack at Walmart for Pooh sized people (has a belt extension)and wore it crossbody. That worked great until we started carrying more things...like water bottles, rain ponchos, cell phone, etc. Mow I have a Baggallini messenger bag for our upcoming trip.

I found the best fanny pack ever at Walmart a couple years ago. You wear it around your back, so if you have a little plump tushy like myself, it sits right on top of it. On each side there is a water bottle container. We fill the bottles with Gatorade or whatnot and keep our snacks in the middle. Its fantastic!!!:cool1:

subbing this is a great thread now I have some great ideas and places to look tomorrow when I go shopping.:thumbsup2

I have read every post and I am so relieved to know that I am not the only one who has obsessed over the perfect bag for our trip! I have it narrowed down to the overland donner bag or the derek alexander north/south bag.

I like the look of the donner bag, plus it seems like it would hold more, but the north/south bag looks more comfortable to carry and it's more likely that dh would carry that without complaint sometimes (although there isn't much chance of that regardless of the bag).

It's me, dh, ds-6, ds-4 on our first trip, and pretty much everything we need for the day will go in the bag. which would you pick?

thanks!

What's the derek alexander bag? as the mother of a Derek and AlexandRA, I just have to know,

I have an Overland Donner bag that I debated long and hard before getting. It is bigger than I expected it to be. I know many people love that model, but it just didn't work for me. I will probably try and trade it or e-Bay it. My teen daughter has a Northface Node that works really well for her. It is just the right size for a water bottle, camera, park map, tickets, money and hairbrush.

I just received my Piazza Day Bag, and I must say I really like it! I got the eggplant, and it is a little darker than on the ebags website, but it's not *too* purple. Very nice.

It's well organized, lots of pockets, although I wish there were one or two more pockets in the main compartment. I can see some things getting "lost" in there! But that's a minor complaint. The elasticized pockets are the perfect size for my digital camera (last bag I had, they weren't deep enough, and I didn't feel like the lens was protected. And the soft pocket where I can stow my sunglasses is a real plus!

I'm taking it on my cruise the start of February; I'll let you know what I think. Thanks to the folks who suggested it!

Can I ask what size digital camera you will be carrying in your bag? Thanks!

I have the Overland Donner bag as well. I've been using it for the last few weeks, and I really like it. We're leaving for Disney in just a few days, and I'm debating between that bag, my eBags Piazza, or my Kipling Lancelot. Or maybe my Quick Silver Whipper Snapper backpack. Lol, so many choices! :rotfl: As of this moment, the Overland Donner is in the lead, mainly due to the 2 water bottle pockets (one for my water, and one for my mini umbrella). Plus, I can fit my DSLR camera in the main pocket, for days I don't want to carry my camera case. The main pocket is kind of cavernous, so I can see things getting lost. But, I have a small nylon pouch to put my small things in (chapstick, eyedrops, bandaids, feminine supplies, etc), which should solve that problem. However, I'm going to load up the other bags with my park stuff before we leave home, and see how they work. Knowing me, I'll probably end up packing all 4 of them. :rotfl2:

You actually asked another person, but I also have the eBags Piazza bag. If you want to use the lined compartment on the front of the bag, it would hold either a small or medium sized camera. If you have a tiny camera, it would probably fit in the MP3 player/phone pocket. However, the main compartment of the bag can hold a large camera. I tried out my DLSR (Sony A350) with a 28-300mm lens on it, and it did fit...as long as I didn't overpack the rest of the bag.

I use a mini backpack I got from Walmart for like seven dollars. It has psychedelic images of Tinkerbelle with mushrooms and stuff on it. It's white vinyl with black trim and the rainbow images on it. It's the perfect size for my autograph book, camera, sunblock, everything. I wear a lanyard that has a clip-on wallet, which contains my cash, ticket, etc.

Gross, I'm greasy.
DBF's bag has two waterbottle holders, so he keeps my water. =D

I have a medium-sized digital camera. It's not SLR sized, but it is much larger than most of the little pocket-cameras out now. Plus it has an actual lens cap that could get knocked off if it's not fully inside the pocket (which it wasn't in my old bag, which meant it could get knocked by anything in the main compartment). The camera is approximately 4 1/4" wide x 2 1/4" tall by 1 3/4" deep including the lens & lenscap, and fits completely into either of the elasticized pockets in the main compartment. I'm very happy about that! It means no more having to carry around a camera case.

ETA to add: I just tried, and the camera does also fit in the "soft", slightly padded front pocket quite easily. However, that puts it right on the outside of the bag, where it could easily get knocked, so I doubt I'll use that pocket. But you could if you wanted to. Lots of options.
