Post pics of your bag you carry into park

In the past I've always used a disney fanny pack. However this year I ordered a really nice Mickey cross-body bag from Avon. Check it out at Avon.com

Usually this one:
http://www.ebags.com/nine_west_hand..._body/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=127819
It fits the poncho, camera, a bottle of water, wallet, sunglasses and cell-phone. Plus it's nice and light weight.

Now for commando days, when I know I'll also probably want a sweatshirt with me I use the LeSportsac Delux Everyday bag or the Mickey Mouse knock-off version of it. It depends on my color scheme for vacation as to which one I pack.

Yes I color scheme my vacation wardrobe. I wear black to work everyday, I need some chance to plan color. :artist:

I just ordered these, they should arrive today! Not sure if I will keep both or not Dh will carry the backpack but I like my own access to my camera, sunglasses and lipstick! lol.

These seem like they will fit what I want to carry best but will need to be tested.

I really like the looks of the Kavu Keeper. But, considering I've already bought 3 bags, I think I should stop shopping.

I leave for Disney in 11 days, so I need to make a decision quick and get something ordered.

I'm looking for a bag that can be used either as a shoulder bag or as an across-the-body bag. Mostly I will be carrying a small cell phone, a small camera (which fits in the phone pocket of my regular purse), a small brush, a small bag with a compact, lipstick, etc., my emergency poncho, tickets, money, and SOMETIMES a small hard drive camcorder and possibly my teeny umbrella. I would also like to have easy access to a place to put park maps and stuff like that. Any suggestions for a small bag that will carry these things?

Look at the Overland Donner, or the Ebags Piazza. Both are available at Ebags.com. The Piazza has more compartments, which is nice. But, the Donner has 2 water bottle pockets instead of one...one for your water, and one for your mini umbrella. :) I actually bought both, and I'm still deciding which one I'm going to use. :confused3

Ya'll are evil! Putting my mind on Baggalini's and Travelons.

I went Thrift Saling today. Walked in the store and literally walked into a Travelon. Green suede with fushia lining. It was FILTHY so I asked how much.

2 bucks, I was told.

Butttt I sputtered, I don't know if the stain (Big huge stain all over the cell phone pocket) will come out.

Hmmm. .99.

For that, I'll see if I can clean it.

Got it home, read up on the internet about cleaning suede. Tried vinegar and the stain came out. The interior is pristine.

I was going to carry my cheaper coach. Now. . .ah. Yeah. Now I think I may well sport the travelon. . .

I would've never even LOOKED at this bag if not for this thread. Thanks to this thread, I realize the purse is perfect for being in a park all day. . .

I think the Donner bag looks bigger than what I wanted, but the Piazza was one of the bags I was considering. Does anyone know if a small video camera (2.5" x 3" x 6" long with my biggest battery in it) would fit in it?

I was able to put my DSLR camera in the main pocket, and it's pretty big. However, you won't be able to "over-pack" the rest of the bag. With that size of camcorder, the Donner would probably work better.

I think Ebags has free returns. You could always order both, and return the one you don't want. :)

May I know how much it cost? :) I'll better check it later and have it too...:lmao:

Thanks for this info. :)

I am also going back and forth between the Donner and the Piazza:confused3 I have a camera(my main concern, a sony H50, not a DLSR, but not a tiny camera) It sounds like it would fit in the "pouch pocket in the piazza bag which would be a plus, rather that just in the main compartment of the Donner at the bottom. I am not crazy about the strap of the piazza though. Probably my only complaint about the bag just from looking at it, that and it only has one water bottle slot, compared with the Donner, but that's not a deal breaker. Does anyone have the Piazza and have some feedback about he strap? One the ebag website some folks complained a little about it. I have looked at the Donner at my local Rei, but haven't committed yet. I also want to carry my $, lipstick, some miscellaneous stuff(bandaids, medicines) maybe a lightweight shirt, reading glasses, sunglasses(also liked the Piazza slot for those) so.... still thinking...:surfweb:

hi there, i have the piazza and the h50 :goodvibes ...now, i love my piazza but have not yet used it for a trip to DL...My H50 fits in the main compartment with lots of room for more...as for the strap, it only bothers me if i wear it for hours on end and have it too full (but so do most bags for me)....My question about the piazza, if i can leave it on for many rides or do i have to take it off for almost all rides....For all the little extras you want to pack, the best thing about the piazza, it has so many extra pockets, it really is great...i used it for my everyday bag....good luck in your decision, i wish i could help you more but i have never used/seen the donner...

Thank you!! Do you know if the H-50 will fit in that pocket inside the main compartment? I think there are two. I just thought that would keep it a little more secure. Off topic here..don't ya just love that camera!!:):) Some people say they go to the auto dept in walmart or kmart and get a strap thing like you put on your car seat belt to put on the strap and that makes the straps more comfy. I might think about that.

SayHello, a page back on this thread said her medium sized camera fit in the elastic pouch inside the middle section and also in the front section. I would feel more comfortable with my Sony in the middle. Her camera sounded about the same size as ours.:confused3

hi there LVSWL...ok, i just emptied my purse, and my camera will not fit into the inside two pockets, only in the main...i bought this a while ago and it is awesome

http://www.ebags.com/skooba_reg_roa...m_wrap/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=12094

It really adds protection to the camera, including a moisture barrier...it takes only seconds and makes me feel better if my camera is in this in my purse...to be honest, at DL, my camera is usually around my neck :cool1: ...As for the camera, i love, love, love it...it is awesome...i sold an amazing canon to get it, and the only thing i am a little disappointed in is the movie mode, it is good just not great, but i am more than happy with the pics, especially low light ones....If you have any more questions, just ask....I still have 3 1/2 months til i get to try out my piazza in DL....It willl be an awesome bag for the plane because it has room for everything, and really safe places for the passports :thumbsup2

Is your Sony H50 similar in size to a Canon S5? If so, I don't think it will fit in the elastic pocket you're wanting it to. However, it will easily fit in the main pocket, with plenty of room to spare.

Thanks so much! That wrap is a great idea! I have been wondering what to do about rides like Kali River Rapids in WDW. I worry that when I put my bag in the center compartment, if someone THROWS:scared1:their bag on top, what might happen to mine, plus there are always those rainshowers in Florida;) We usually have our mickey ponchos and manage to get out, but every little bit helps! Thanks for taking the time to check for me. I just got my camera right befor Christmas. I really wanted that extra zoom, without the bulk of the DSLR, so I am looking forward to our April trip with this camera!:)

Has anyone seen these or tried for a park? My coworker has it and I love the bag, while a bit pricey, they can be used for more. They are waterproof, oiled cotten, feels a bit like neoprine, but smoother. http://www.myoilcloth.com/
I just wondered if anyone has one and took it to the parks- I really want one:)
I like the envelope bag

These are cute! They are pricey too. I would be interested in whether or not anyone had purchased one of these and liked them.:)
