Possible Trip To The Swan Through Work!!!!

Hi Gang

I just found out today about a customer conference for a business system that we use at work... and guess where it is!! The WDW Swan in October for a week!!!! Whoo Hooo. I just sent my boss the details and crossing my fingers that he lets me go.

This would be so cool. My wife and 4 year old son are going to flip out if we can all go. I'm already planning everything out in my head.... flights, Disney tickets, staying at the Swan, all the parks, the Disney magic. Oh, yeah, and the conference as well. He he he....

Think good thoughts and cross your fingers everyone, please!! Please, please, please.... let me go boss.

Good luck to you! Our conferences are usually in Tampa, but I heard a rumor it might be moving. Oh how wonderful it would be to be at the Swan/Dolphin!

Thanks guys. My boss got back to me in an email and said (refering to the conference) "Looks beneficial. Let me know all you can find out." Yay, so far so good!!!

Ohhhh I can't wait. I'm so excited. We had such a great time last June at the Swan. It was a vacation that we won't forget.

My dh has a conference the third week of Oct. It's taking place at all of the Boardwalk resorts He also has one in Nov. and April that take place somewhere in Orlando.
I'm excited to try WDW in October.

That is so cool!! Isn't it nice when you can piggyback a work trip to cut the cost on an awesome Disney vacation? Hope you guys have an amazing time!

When we went last year we were able to stay for a week and a half. It was hard on our budget but without my work paying for my flight and a lot of my expenses, it would have been impossible to stay otherwise. My wife, my son and I got a vacation we'll never forget.

Hi Andy,

I hope it all works out and you are sent to the conference. It was a SANS convention in 2000 that started off my families addiction! We were able to go to Orlando paying only my and my sons air fair and park tickets. Too bad we had to stay off site though. It would have been fun for my son and I to run around DW while my hubby was in meetings . I keep telling my hubby to find another conference that he can attend in DW so work could cover some of our cost. Hehe

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm so... hoping we can go!!! It's wait and see at this point.

In our trip last year the conference and hotel was actually offsite about 1-2 miles north east of Disney. At the time my wife found a great price for a club room at the Swan for $179 / night. This wasn't much more than the hotel where the conference was. I was renting a car anyway so I asked if I could switch my hotel and at the time my boss said "sure". Awesome, awesome deal!! So I got up on the conference days and drove for 10 mins to the conference and my wife and son enjoyed the Swan and WDW for the day. It was great!!

Make sure to tell your husband what we did and maybe you could do the same if you're offsite again.
