Portrait Session: A Great Deal

The Photopass folks have a great deal on portrait sessions...it is even better with the DVC discount. We did it last week and it was great...

For $80 DVC members get a 25 minute session with a photographer. We extended this session to 45 minutes by paying an extra $25.

You get a CD with all the photos taken (ours was 126 photos) and you also get a copyright release so you can print, edit, or do anything else you want with your photos. We uploaded our photos to Walgreen's web site and printed them all so it would be easier to go through them. Also included in our package was 7 5X7 prints which they printed at the photopass location.

Our photos were taken at the Beach Club. The indoor shots were taken in the villas lounge area. Then we had some shots on the beach. They do this by appointment.

Sounds great, I have a trip planned for Dec and will try to schedule something - I just hope I'm not too late. Also, do you know if you can add other Photopass pictures taken in the parks to the same CD?

We just did this last week while at AKL! The DVC discount made it a great deal! Our photographer was great and he managed to get 73 shots taken in the 25 minute time period!

I don't believe this is a "limited time only/promotional offer", more of a DVC perk similar to getting a discount on the behind the scenes park tours. But as with any DVC perk, they can go away at any time (i.e. free valet).

I would second the recommendation. We had over 80 photos taken in the 25 minute session at AKL Jambo house. Plus you get the pictures on disk.

Resorts that I know of: AKL, BC, Poly, WL, GF

And there are 3 print packages available, not just the 7 5x7's package. I also chose the 5x7 pkg and now I can't remember what size prints the other 2 included.

We did this last April at WL. We had lots of nice shots of the whole family, each child individually, and dh and I together. It is a great deal when you consider what a professional photographer would cost for the sitting fee alone, but then add in the costs of the copyright and it can be in the thousands.
Granted this is not necessarily a professional photographer but still well worth the price.
We never get family portraits, so I'm glad we did this and will do it again on our next family trip.
