My disclaimer is I'm not an alcoholic even though this question may give off those vibes......

The alcohol policy states 2 bottles of wine can by carried on at each port.

My question is do they police getting off the ship....going to make your purchase....bringing your wine back on board....leaving again for the rest of the day then bringing more back with you when you boarded that evening????

I like to try new stuff from different places. I'm really more of a collector. My hubby asks me if I'm going to dust my bottles I have stacked up.

So I know it's cheating the system....I guess my question is do they have a system for keeping track of what you bring back on board.

While I can't address your question of whether they check if you are reboarding multiple times with wine, I can tell you that the 2 bottle per port limit only applies to wine you will be taking to your stateroom to drink. If you want to purchase bottles to take home with you and not consume on the ship, then DCL is happy to store the excess for you. In that case, your question needs to be more directed towards what are the US Customs limits on what you can bring back.

The customs limits are for bringing in duty free. Once you are over your allowance you can then declare it and pay tax on it. If OP is truly bringing back an astonishing amount they may be subject to transit laws between states as well. Though this is unlikely a concern.
