The poolside activities are listed on the bottom of the first page under 'Ol Man Island poolside activities. :thumbsup2:

Thanks, Andre.

We can't wait. 12 more days until our first trip to Disney World. We are so looking forward to staying at POR!!!!!

My MIL got the infamous PIN! We rebooked the trip under her name and now have FD for the entire trip. We originally had a room only ressie for the first night. The downside is that we no longer have a preferred room but oh well. I'll live.

did you rent from them before? I am still needing to rent a stroller (Oct. trip) and they have pretty good rates. Wondering about their service and quality of the stroller :). Enjoy your trip!

I rented from apple strollers in April, the stroller was perfect, to the point whet we are looking into getting one now, it was a citi mini. They were doing a promo where you pay just the insurance of five a day, no rental charge. Whole thing cost me under 25 for four days!

Where are you seeing POFQ? The guide Andre posted is just for POR.

I must be losing my mind, as I missed that somehow! Thanks for pointing it out, the poolside activities look like fun :) Just a couple of weeks!!!

Hi everybody! I've been lurking on the POR thread (the previous one and this current one) for the past month or so and finally decided to post.
DH, DD7 and I are getting ready for our second trip to WDW (August 5-16) but first time to POR. Seven days until online check-in is available (although I may wait a few weeks to do that) and I will be paying off soon too! :cool1:

On the previous trip (four years ago for a work conference), we shared a cabin with my DH's family at FW. This time, it is just the three of us. I let my daughter help choose the resort (within reason, of course) and she wanted to stay "in the new princess rooms that we saw a video about last summer". So, we will be staying at POR (another work/vacation trip) but unfortunately, we aren't able to do the Royal Rooms for our entire stay. BUT I am surprising her with our last two nights reserved in the Royal Rooms. :yay:

So, with that said, here's my question:
We have 3 POR reservations (continuing): the first 9 nights are reserved on the summer offer in a Garden View Room, then 1 night in a standard Royal Room, and then I added a last night in a standard Royal Room using the late summer offer. I noticed on my original receipt that the CM had noted that I had a continuing reservation, but I have not seen that anywhere on any of the invoices. Is there a place I should see that? Or should I call in to make sure all the continuing reservations are noted on the account? Or will POR see that when getting our check-in/room info ready for our arrival? Of course, I will mention it when I fax in my request, but I also want to be sure it is on my original reservation first. I'm hesitant to do the online check-in until I know my original reservation is correct first. :confused3

Also, just curious: how likely is it that with the continuing reservations we will be given a Royal Room for the entire stay? We travel A LOT for work, so we are used to having to change rooms, buildings, cities, etc., but it sure would be nice not to have to worry about that on this trip. Of course, I will be requesting this on my fax too (along with celebrating our anniversary and our daughter's birthday), and I understand it is just a request, but it sure would be nice.

We are really looking forward to our time at POR. I just know we will love it there! :cool1: I think I have a couple other, minor questions, but it is late now (I should be in bed by now) and I can't remember off the top of my head. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You are going at one of the most busiest times, because the following week, a lot of kids on the East Coast go back to school (around the 23rd or so), so I wouldn't expect to be upgraded from a garden view room to a RR.

You will most likely only be making one move, on the last two nights. The nice part is that it is close to the end of your trip, so you don't have to unpack very much.

You will not see the "link" on the reservations, but if the CM read it off to you, then it is there. You can always call back a few weeks before your arrival and check to make sure it is still there.

I am going to Disney this year as an off-site guest but I have stayed at POR 2 years ago. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of this resort when we were there. I was wondering, if we are at Downtown Disney and would like to have a meal at POR, can we avail of the boat transportation as off-site guests?

Yes, you may!

Sooo who has done online check in lately? I just did ours at around 53 days out. I thought there were more room requests that you could add. I could only pick: corner, highest floor, ground floor. I thought maybe you could request a building, or a section. I guess not. Is that normal? Only 4 little boxes you can check?

I did it last week. I checked highest floor and corner. We are booked in standard Royal Room so I don't have any other requests anyway. Since POR is sold out for at least 1 night of our 9 night stay I am not expecting any type of pixie dust etc of a better view.

Andre

Thanks Andre!!

I just added our room requests to our reservation. We have a royal room standard view booked and I requested as close as possible to main building and bus stop, upper floor and non-connecting room (I hate having that extra door in hotel rooms unless we specifically need a connecting room). I didn't specifically request Oak Manor because I know there are a few standard rooms in the northern part of Paterre Place that are very close to the foot bridge to the main buildings. Do you think I would be better off requesting Oak Manor in particular or am I more likely to have all of our requests granted with the broader "as close as possible" request?

Did they upgrade you on their own or did you asked to be upgraded? Did you have to pay for it? I have heard that they will upgrade you for free some times, but I don't even know how to go about asking them about this?

On their own. I didn't ask for an upgrade, just location...And my price didn't change at all. :cool1:

I have been upgraded to preferred before also with no charge, but that was at All Star Sports.

excellent! I'm so glad to hear this, been waiting for replies to the "budget board" about Apple strollers... I have mine booked (insurance only) for our August trip under $35 is an excellent deal and helps avoid having to lug one around LAX.

OK were booked in a standard view room at POR 9/15 to 9/20 with free dinning, I called today to see if we could change to a river view and was told the only room available with free dinning are royal room's with river view, it would be $67.50 more a day for a total of $337.50 ..Is this worth it. It's just me and my sister going no kid's.
