That looks like a great pool! Is there usually a problem getting chairs in the middle of the day? I've read all about the chair problems at other resorts and am hoping that's not the case at POR.

Thanks Missytara and Sue M.

We were there last September and never had an issue with lack of seating. I loved that there were plenty of seats in the sun or shade depending on your preference :)

Have fun :goodvibes

We have stayed at CBR the last 2 years and had a preferred location room just to be closer to the food court/pool. We're staying at POR this year and I requested a preferred room for this trip too. I thought I read somewhere that all the preferred buildings are in the AB section. Are there any in the Magnolia Bend section? We've stayed in both sections before and like the MB better. Does anyone know if there are any preferred buildings in the MB section?

Depends on when you're going. With the construction going on getting a requested location in Magnolia Bend section may be iffy. Both Magnolia Terrace and Oak Manor are great locations, but I think Oak Manor is going to have the Princess rooms now. I think there is a post on this thread with the projected construction sched.

Also, when I booked for Jan, the CM said Magnolia Terrace was now (in 2012) a preferred building. Not sure if she was right or not. I'm going to phone back and ask.

I tried to get a hold of someone from WDW, to let them know about the problems that we had on our trip. The gentleman that I spoke to said there is no phone number for any kind of customer service, only for reservations. He gave me an email address to write to. When I tried to email them, the address that he gave me wasn't a real, working email address.

The correct email address for WDW is wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com. Is that what you typed?

When you write to them, it would be best to break your thoughts down into the main points, neatly paragraphed, and clearly and concisely laid out. You could add any other more minor points towards the end, using bullet-points in an "Other Issues" section, but keeping each point as brief and specific as you can.

The post you made here was obviously written in the heat of the moment, but that made it very difficult to read due to the 'stream of consciousness' approach and the solid block of free-flowing text. To be honest, if this wasn't my thread I may well have given up after a few lines - which is obviously not what you want to happen!

Don't expect an immediate reply, you'll get an auto-response fairly quickly but they may wish to investigate the complaint first before they respond.

Good luck!

Andre

Thanks for the help! I read my comments again, after not looking at them for several weeks. You are correct; I wrote them in the heat of the moment, when I was very upset. I hope that I've calmed down over the past few weeks. Thanks again!

i didnt read your post about what happend on your trip, i just happened to see this post. if you go to allearsnet.com, ALL of the disney contact phone numbers or addresses are on there. not exactly sure where to find it but you can search. I complained about the cleanliness of our cabin last time and not given the correct accessbile room, and the manager gave me one day park tickets good for a year :)

The best way is to use the e-mail address that was provided by Andre in a PP.

The phone numbers of the resort all go back to a CCC (Central Call Center). Most likely the person you spoke to was not the manager of FW, but a CM who spoke to a supervisor that allowed them to give you tickets.

You will never speak to the resort directly, unless the CM answering the phone deems it an emergency and transfer the call to the resort directly.

Subscribing.

Have always LOVED Port Orleans Riverside. Even started a thread defending it against the haters. I can't wait to see how each individual princess will be decorating the rooms. I'm just surprised that it too Disney this long to incorporate Tiana into the POR. When the movie came out, I said to anyone that will listen, that it was a perfect match. And that was before I'd even heard of the pirate and mermaid themed rooms at another resort.

If you can take the most homey resort (in my opinion) and then add a little Disney Magic, that turns a great thing into something special.

Hi everyone! We'll be staying at POR Aug 28 to Sept 5. This is our first time at POR. We are a family of 5. I am assuming that all of the trundle beds are in the Alligator Bayou section? I've been trying to read through the previous thread, and have been looking at the pictures on the photo thread. I must say it looks beautiful! Is there any building that you would recommend we request? I do not want to pay the extra to stay in the preferred buildings. Also, I was thinking of requesting a corner room. I would love to have the extra window for more sunlight. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have stayed in building 24 before and liked it. It's right by one of the quiet pools and super close to a bus stop. It is a hike to the food court, though, so it depends on how often you plan to eat there as opposed to in your room/in the parks.
