I looked at the menu for Turf Club but wasn't overly impressed. Olivia's looks really cute though!

Sadly, I think that last one comes under the porcine aviation department.
But yes, there's a lot of misinformation out there on the internet. I try to keep to what I know to be facts, or at least info from very reliable sources, or else what people report as having seen.

But even then I read some posts where people say they've seen something with their own eyes that I know cannot be true.

I had a fabulous breakfast and dinner there this past year.

The water taxi ride is a bit long on the way there; POR to Marketplace to Pleasure Island to OKW. You have to transfer to another taxi at each stop.

But on the way back, I stopped at Pleasure Island, went to Raglan Road for a couple of beers and then walked back through Marketplace to the boat dock.

Of course, you could always walk to a park if you wanted to. However, if you mean walk to a park like walking from CR to MK or BWI, YC/BC, Swan/Dolphin to EC or DHS, there is no path from POR or POFQ to any of the parks and most bus rides are about 15-20 mins or so.

Yes, that's what I meant and thanks for the answer. I think we will still stay for the race at this resort.

I noticed you also posted to the POFQ resort; have you decided which one to stay in?????

They are both equally nice, but POR is a larger resort and does have sit down dining. That is probably the only real difference.

:thumbsup2 You sound like my kind of traveler

KCmike, you have great pictures! Please keep them coming. I have a long time to look forward to my next visit.:surfweb:

Thanks and happy to oblige.

Andre, what I was referring to was the Construction Board that was posted on the old FQ thread that showed the carpet, wall boarder and an artist's rendering of what the room was supposed to look like (I'm not sure who posted it, but it sure was nice to have an idea). I was hoping that the same type of board was available to POR.

Hi! I think it was me.:upsidedow I'm confident the POR rooms will turn out great, the POFQ rooms were BEAUTIFUL! We can't wait for our first POR trip. We will probably have an older room though b/c we will be in AB (family of 5).

This was on the wall outside of the food court. When I was there they were almost done with the renovation, they were on the last building. I'm guessing they won't display the POR board until the renovations are much further along there.

This board is exactly what I was talking about, but I was certain that there was one shown shortly after they began working on the 1st or 2nd building at FQ. Thanks for putting it up for us.

I was at POFQ when they were just finishing the last building so I don't know when it was posted. Don't we have a CM on these boards somewhere that will leak the goods?

We will be at POR from Aug 26 to Sept 4. We always stay in Alligator Bayou.
So pretty. It's getting so close now I think I can taste a Boatwright prime rib...

Yum:scared1:

Thank you KC Mike for the photo of the water taxi. I have been looking for a good one to put on my background on my computer; I can almost hear the boat in my mind, coming around the bend to the dock.

Ah - 4-1/2 months to go. :goodvibes

We have stayed at CBR the last 2 years and had a preferred location room just to be closer to the food court/pool. We're staying at POR this year and I requested a preferred room for this trip too. I thought I read somewhere that all the preferred buildings are in the AB section. Are there any in the Magnolia Bend section? We've stayed in both sections before and like the MB better. Does anyone know if there are any preferred buildings in the MB section?

The preferred buildings are in AB; 14, 15, 18, and 27.

I just booked Port Orleans Riverside for Nov 19-24th. We've never stayed there and haven't been to Disney since 1998. Excited!:yay:

Two trips ago we rented a surry bike, we had planned to get the four seater (also a family of five) but the CM working suggested we get a two seater and have the two youngest sit up front in the basket (4 and 6) and the oldest sit between us (8) as they would not be able to help pedal and the bike would be easier for us to pedal as it woiuld be less weight. This worked out great so give it a try the kids loved it.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. The smells and sounds really last, and amazing how a photo can bring it all back!
