Seconded!!!! I love, love, love this dessert.

I would say seconded, but I think I'm thirded at this point. The first time we went to Ghirdelli's was in 2009. We didn't get a chance to go last year, but hubby is already prepping to go next Oct!

I have to chuckle a bit when I recall my trip with my mom in 2004. She is somewhat of a "miser" with money, even when I offer to pay. She decided the sundaes at Ghiradelli's were way too expensive and decided we should go back to POR and get an ice cream from the bakery.

I decided to sit outside and people watch and she wanted to "walk around a bit." I caught her out of the corner of my eye going in and out of the store three times in order to get the freebie piece of candy they were giving out.

I offered to buy her a small bag, and she said, "Heavens no, they are so expensive." The lady looked at me, winked, which is the international sign for "my mom is exactly the same way."

Thanks for the water tips. Which of the bus stops get picked up first at the POR?

Depends - but on what, no one is quite sure. Most often it's South first, then (if that bus does all the stops) West, North, East. But buses have been known to do the outer stops first, then South Depot. There's no 100% rule I'm afraid.

:goodvibes Love this story --- Ghiradelli's sounds awesome, can't wait to go eat a sundae! It's okay to have that for lunch? right?

They are definitely big enough for lunch, but my favorite is a sandwich at EOS and then a sundae for a late dinner on the way back from a long park day.

When we were there a couple of weeks ago, it seemed like they always picked up at the south depot first when we were going to the parks and dropped off last when coming back! We figured it was just because we were on the bus! ;)

We were there this summer and this is what we experienced too! We would hit every bus stop BOTH coming and going!:(

I spoke to Disney reservations today and got price quotes for an April visit (had to change the week of our visit because my daughter is going to a different school district this year and we just found out the spring break dates). We're going for a Royal Guest Room with a standard view and one of the dining plans. I'm wanting deluxe dining, but it adds quite a bit to the cost. so I'll add regular dining then upgrade later if it looks like it's going to work. Booking in just a few weeks! Woohoo!

Our family of 4 (me, hubby and 2 daughters ) will be checking in at POR next week the 16th. We are staying for 6 nights. We are all so excited. :cool1:Our first trip to Disney world. :)

She turns 8 today. I tracked shipment of my bottled water order from walmart and it said that it arrived today. Yay!
