Just wanting to know if anyone has a price list of port day spa specials that they could share. I will be going on my 3rd DCL in jan and I thought I would finally break down a go to the spa, Mom needs a little pampering and relaxation. Also, what spa treatments would you recommend? I have only had one massage and it was great, however, my back hurt a little near the end. Thanks!

I just sailed the eastern itinerary (Oct. 11) and took advantage of the spa twice! Ahhh...

On port day in St. Maarten, they offered a 25 minute back massage, 25 minute facial, foot and ankle massage, Indian head massage, a one-day pass to the Rain Forest and a complimentary glass of champagne. I think it was called Ladies Night Out but in my case, it was Ladies' Morning Out! The price was $109 (50 min. plus time in Rain Forest) and it was great.:thumbsup2

On our unplanned sea day (due to Hurricane Omar), they offered the Early Bird Special from 8 a.m. to noon. The treatment was a Therapeutic Scalp Massage, Hydrating Facial, Intensive Hair Treatment and blow dry for $89.

On our unplanned Nassau day, you could choose any three of the following: 20 min. scalp massage, 20 min. foot ankle massage, 20 min. hot stone massage, 20 min facial or 20 min. neck and shoulder massage. The cost was $99. I did this one and it was to die for! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 My therapist actually used the hot stones on my back and legs; then massaged my feet and ankles. I turned on my back and she did the neck and shoulders as well as my head and scalp. It was well worth the money!

Other specials listed included:
ProCollagen Facial with complimentary eye tratment - 50 min - $130
Elemis Exotic Wrap with choice of coconut, milk or frangipani - 75 min -$125
Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow - 60 min - $120

Hope you find time to enjoy the spa! It was great!

This was, hands down, the best spa treatment I have ever had! I did it as part of the Alone Time in the spa villa, but would do it on its own in a heartbeat!

I did this as well. It was wonderful.

What is the "Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow"? I've never heard of it, it sounds interesting. Is it a massage of some sort?

It's an exfoliation rub made of lime and ginger infused salt which gets rubbed all over your body. After the treatment your skin is so soft! :)

Earlier this month:

On Nassau day:
Pamper Night (between 4:30 - 10pm):
Back of the body massage
Aromatherapy Facial
Scalp, foot and ankle massage
Alone time in Rainforest room
Champagne and strawberry chocolates

125.00 for 2 hours!

On CC day:
Cleopatra Massage Ritual:
Full body lime and ginger sea salt glow
Followed by a luxurious skin nourishing milk cocoon
With back, neck & shoulder massage
Finishing with a relaxing pressure point scalp massage

120.00

There were also specials posted in the spa I believe for the first day...

I did the Cleopatra Massage Ritual on the morning of our Castaway Cay day on the Wonder and loved it. This was my first ever spa treatment and I absolutely loved it. I intend to try one of the Spa Villa for one treatments next year.

Do these specials get booked early? Do they change throughout the day?

I took a little tour of the spa on the first day and was given a brochure with all of the regular treatments listed and it included an insert with port day specials. Other port day specials appeared in the navigator the night before. As far as booking up early, I'm not sure. I called that first day and made one appt. but the 2nd appt. was made the day before I had it. I had several times from which to choose. I don't think they changed throughout the day though my 2nd technician was more creative in tailoring the treatment to my wishes and what she thought would provide the best overall experience.

Also are they only available to book on the ship?

Yes, you can only book them onboard.

We've done 17 cruises on the Magic. I suspect (but can't verify) that the port day specials that appear in the Navigator or in the elevator inserts depend on how "booked up" the spa is. What I mean is that if they have a number of unfilled slots, they'll offer specials to fill them.

On boarding, you can stop at the spa for a tour and/or price list. This sometimes includes an insert with "port day specials" (?dependent on advanced bookings ?). You can book these on that day. There MAY be other specials announced throughout the cruise, but not always. Again, book these as soon as they are announced. Some don't even seem to be in the Navigator, but are in the little signs in the elevators.

Not on your face though? I have extremely sensitive skin on my face due to Rosacea and I would love to try this - I guess even if they did do your face I could just ask them not to right?

No, not on the face. The therapist used it from the shoulders down.
