Just wanted to send out a big to Fabooliss for sending my DD7 a wonderful FGM letter from Cinderella. It was awesome! She got it yesterday and immeadiately wanted to write her a letter back. I told her that we didn't have her return address so we would have to wait til we see her at WDW. Fabooliss really went to a lot of effort to mention some of the things I told her about our last trip, in the letter-it was very personal. And DD especially loved all the "jewels" Cinderella put on both sides of the envelope.

You are welcome!!! I had a great time writing it... I justthought about my daughter would like it to say (and raided her stickers for the jewels!!). The hardest part was making sure she didn't see it (who taught that kid to read?)

We had a GREAT trip... the fridge was wonderful. We ate breakfast in the room every park day and saved lots of time that way. We have added an electric kettle. We used it to make tea every morning (hot tea that is... learned something new at Disney... Canadians just call hot tea, tea, if you want it cold you have to ask for Ice Tea).

I'm not sure how you would get a toaster into the fridge as well, someone will have to do some creative packing. You have to hold your tongue just right to get the kettle to fit.

The fridge is in great shape, but the box is in need of some major packing tape, the one thing I forgot to pack. It was sealed up ok for transfer, but the bottom needs some major taping so if someone can bring some in the future that would be really good.

Hoping to do a trip report in the next couple of days, before I forget everything. Can't wait to go back, put me down for the fridge, January 2011 (DH said 4 or 5 years, I'm going for 4).

Thanks for adding the kettle. We loved having breakfast in our room and if the frig lasts until Sept. I will really love using the "kettle". I like to drink "hot" tea in the morning-usually with a little milk. DD7 loves her tea that way too.

Great idea-anyone going soon who can bring some heavy-duty strapping tape? The kind with those strings in it would be good. Also, if you could leave the tape inside the frig. too. Fabooliss-what else is still in the fridge? Cleaner, tape, marker, paper, etc. Let me know-Thanks.

Hello all:

We just returned to frozen Michigan last night. (The flight attendant welcomed us to "the North Pole, err, Lansing, Michigan.")

We had possession of the refrigerator and kettle for the last 8 nights (actually, we checked in so late our first night, that I didn't get it until the second day). I heard from Elisa (Mandysmom) last night because they were having trouble finding the box. Fortunately, I had put the claim check in my pocket and was able to pull out the claim number and the cast member's initials for Elisa. I called her later last night, but was only able to leave a message. Anyway, be sure to exchange cell phone numbers, etc. so if anything comes up, you're prepared. I'm assuming Pop found the frige and that everything is A-OK.

I added a container of cleaning/disinfecting wipes and some more scotch tape. I meant to buy the packing tape when we went to the grocery store, but forgot. If one of the next frige users would put even a partial roll in their luggage, the box could use some taping.

We never used the kettle -- I drink diet coke in the morning and, while it got cold during the last part of our vacation, it was easy enough to walk to the food court for tea (hot) and hot chocolate. It's so cool that the kettle matches the white refrigerator. I do not believe, however, that a toaster is going to fit in with the kettle.

On our last night, I threw out everything that we had in the refrigerator, put a towel inside, and unplugged it. In the morning, it was very easy to wipe up the water and then run the disinfecting wipes along the inside and outside. The Pop baggage storage people were really good about letting people borrow the hand carts. You just needed to show them your room card and then sign for the cart (when we got the frige, they just let me borrow it with no signing or anything). The line to get the box back into the baggage storage was quite long. You might need to build some time into your schedule to return it if you're catching a flight or something.

This worked out terrifically and I'm grateful to Dizneydaz for coordinating this and to Fabooliss for leaving the frige in great shape.

Finally, we've stayed in all of the moderate resorts and a few of deluxe resorts at WDW. This was our first stay at a value resort and Pop Century exceeded our expectations. The transportation was the best of ANY resort, bar none. The castmembers were friendly and helpful, housekeeping was great, and the atmosphere is totally Disney. We will stay here again!!!

There are some cleaning wipes and I added some scotch tape that I had left over. No paper or markers though.

I don't know for sure. I think I read about one once at AS Music. Try posting on the resorts thread. That's probably your best chance.
