Hi
As I've been spending more time on the DLRP trip planning board, I thought I'd introduce us.
Me: Joanne 37, travel and photography loving stay at home Mummy to two pink ones.
DH: Richard 41, Theme park, holiday loving IT geek. Earner of all the spondoolies
DD: Anna 6, fun loving, giggly, sporty chatterbox
DD: Poppy 3 (and a half), tough, strong willed, giggly teenager in practice
We all love Theme Parks, we have had one previous family holiday to DLRP (SL) when I was pregnant with Pops in 2005 and two trips to WDW in 2007 confirm that we love our Disney holidays.
We also take holidays to visit other European theme parks.
Three weeks in WDW in 2010 is currently in the planning stage
I must admit we are fans of Orlando
and everything it has to offer, we are excited about this trip to DLRP but from our previous experience the Magic wasn't quite the same for us so we're going back to see if we can find it
The girls do not know about the holiday or it's destination, and we intend to keep it that way for as long as possible
Another secret is that our friends will be there for three nights that we are there, their son and DD are in the same class. We are hatching a plan to "bump into"
them on Main St and all watch the parade together and have a nice meal together, DD's will be so excited to see their playmates
We are off to Disneyland Resort Paris for May half term for 5 nights, we leave home early for the 0750 Eurotunnel departure
on Sunday 24th May and should arrive back home late Friday night 29th May.
This trip was booked with the 40% discount and before adding HB+ the stay at the cheyenne was only £550
We have a rough itinerary outlined, basically we will alternate our days in each park, doing EMH and we may try Good Morning Fantasyland Breakkie one morning, if we can get it.
Must do's for the girls will be Fantasyland, Buzz, shows and character meets.
Eldest DD has been on ToT at WDW and will probably want to try the Paris version, this is also a must do for DH and I. We don't often go on any rides that the girls can't get on but I would like to ride RnR
I would like to try Crush's coaster but as the girls don't meet the height and with the long queues, I doubt very much that I'll ride it.
I have booked four out of five meals, we will skip a TS meal on the arrival day as we will eat on the way down and TBH if the girls are a bit tired after the journey a CS meal will do. Silver Spur is booked for 1800 on day two, I like the look of the HB+ set menu and the restaurant seems to get lots of positive feedback. For day three I have booked the Steakhouse in the village, for the same reason
Day four (wednesday) I have booked Walt's for a parade time late lunch, I have requested a window table
. I have not made an ADR for day five as I think we will try the Cheyenne buffet before going back to the room to pack
. On our last day I have booked Cafe Mickey for lunch at 12noon. I think it's a nice send off for the girls before we head to the park for last look and then head for Calais and the 1950 Eurotunnel departure.

I know much has changed and been added since then, we're really looking forward to seeing it all.........
Thanks to all of you that have answered my questions and have posted valuable restaurant and hotel reviews, it's all been really helpful towards planning this trip
