Hiya! Hope you all had a great morning! Story was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie...Is it bad that I made Gabriel and Autumn keep getting me the snack??

No wonder I never want her to date!!!!!!
Today is a nutsy day, skating, dance class, went to school to try to get our tap room set up (the die cuts, laminator, etc) tonight is new student night...so I have to go to school, stand in the entryway and welcome the new parents...& nope I can't at the same time

Hi gang,
I actually had to crank the heat on last night, it was freezing here in nyc. Oddly it will be 93 on saturday, still today my heat is on low. I have a million things to get done, i will try to post a drive by "hi" later.

Chris, your days are always soo busy, i'm amazed you have time for lunch!
MY SIL starts HS this year and I hope she likes it!! HS was a blast for me, I wasn't thrilled with where I went to school, but I loved and still love the friends I made on orientation day!
I have tom ake yummy lunches, otherwise Sal might start eating out and I love having him home at lunch time! It's a nice break in the day!! On the nice days, we follow him outside to work! hahah! It's fun, waving to him and seeing him on his way!
Sal has recently learned how to text messge and I keep getting them all day long! He's too funny! I have no clue what i'm doing 99% of the time when I am responding!!

Where did everyone go today ?
I have a parents fair I am doing this week - starting tomorrow and I am in no way prepared. I felt so lousy yesterday and today. I tried to organize a little but it didn't work ! Blah !

Studio sues over "Dirty Dancing" line

Nobody puts Lionsgate in a corner. That's the message of a trademark infringement lawsuit the studio behind "Dirty Dancing" has filed against several companies selling merchandise featuring the phrase "Nobody puts Baby in a corner" from the hit film.
The suit, filed August 15 in Los Angeles District Court, claims 15 companies including Uncommongoods.com in New York, Lucky Lou Boutique in Fishers, Ind., and Duck Duck Goose in Troy, Ohio, have used Lionsgate's registered trademark without permission.
The quote, said by Patrick Swayze at the climax of the 1987 film starring Swayze and Jennifer Grey, has achieved a cult-like status, marketed and often repeated in films and TV shows for 20 years.

"The American Film Institute voted 'Nobody puts Baby in a corner' as one of the top 100 most popular quotes from a motion picture," the lawsuit states. "Plaintiff markets and sells merchandise with the movie trademarks through approved licensees as part of the 'Dirty Dancing' line of approved merchandise."
The defendants, many of which market baby clothing and merchandise, are not authorized to use the mark and have created a likelihood of confusion with merchandise authorized for sale by Lionsgate, the lawsuit alleges.
Lionsgate, a unit of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., seeks to prevent the businesses from selling merchandise containing the phrase. It also seeks a court order requiring the defendants to pay restitution as well unspecified statutory and actual damages, treble damages and punitive damages.
The defendants could not be reached for comment.

Dirty Dancing was/is one of my all time fav movies!!!! The guy I dated for 4 years thru college.....& thought I was gonna marry..... "our" song was the time of your life song..... oh well...he's now a taco bell asst manager....so maybe I did "ok" with my banker choice! Yesterday seemed to go on forever!!!!!!!!!! It was HOT, sticky, buggy & just gross.
We had 110 of 114 Kindergartners come for the morning playground time. & over 400 families come to meet your teacher night. so I was both
and I of course did my best to give them my "Hi, Welcome to Husmann, We have a fantastic PTO, I love being part of it, which position can I interest you in" speel.....
Today, guess what? It's rainy, & hot & sticky & buggy & GROSS again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm taking the girls to lunch (probably Red Robin - not Chili's
) and then we're gonna go bowling!I really can live with the hot...and even the sticky...but the skeeters are just eating me up alive for a snack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That movie - man!!! I was in 8th grade when it was BIG. And all the girls went weekend after weekend after weekend to see it. FINALLY one of them talked me into going....
I hated it!! And this theater full of teenage girls, giggling, cooing - YUCK!
I dont wanna have the time of my life!!!

Cat - you're too funny. I didn't even get to see Dirty Dancing until it was out on video for a year or so.
I liked it although it isn't one of my favorite's.
My favorite's were Top Gun and Grease. Bot of which I watched about 200 times and knew every world too.

Morning everyone
The storm last night knocked otu our power again! We would not have known had the clocks all not been blinking 12 this morning thank goodness we always keep fresh batteries in the reserve of the alarm clock, so that helped keep up on schedule
It's dripping this morning, you know not even close to drizzling, but if you go out there, you get hit every now and then by a fat rain drop?? blahhh!
I'm trying to determine on where to take Autumn to get her hair cut, she needs some style put into it, so I want to take her somewhere good, but also somewhere used to dealing with kids. I want her to have her hair looking normal in the photos
Pretty lame day today otherwise! We played in the puddles outside with the Diego and Barbie Jeeps and BOTH kids rode them so far and then refused to ride them home I had to take turns pushing them and they thought it was hilarious! (I swear that's why they did it!!) and then of course about 2 houses down, they hop in and take off
Lunch today is super easy Grilled shrimp & White rice. Nothing fabulous! hahaha! I just wanted something I could throw together in 10 minutes!
