Another thing about taking Jul out of school. I told her teacher but that was it. I didn't even tell the office. Then I just called her in in the mornings saying "Jul won't be at school today".

It would work. But just be prepared for him to probably actually get strep like the next week. That's how it would work for me.

I was nervous about going in Nov. last year b/c of the school. But then I just thought "scr*w it". It's school. I shouldn't be SCARED to take my kid somewhere.

If *I* called in sick and said "I cant come in to work, Danny is sick with strep" and then went shopping all day, THEN Danny would get sick.

But if I call *him* in, and he is well aware of the call in and what I am saying, then Ill be fine.

Plus, youre throwing Disney into the equation, so then it makes everything okay.

"Last night, I died - so I wont be in until Monday" and go to Disney? It's okay.... Understand???

I wouldnt do ebay, no way, no how I'd risk it. Ummm - you could always get a multi-day pass and come back in SEPPPPPTEMBER!!!

How long does Strep last? Im considering using "Strep" as Danny's "call in reason" in September....

It can last up to 10 days! Luckily for Grace it looks like it was early...so she can probably go to school by the end of the week.

Yea Ididn't think ebay was a great idea...I'm just thinking outloud! & hmmm maybe I need to compare the multiday passes & see....

Oh no! I think it is totally okay to do this for disney!

My g/f wants me to be her teacher aide in the fall b/c her aide is finishing up school that semester. I don't know if I will, but I told her, I am still going to disney in november no matter what! I worked with her part time last year and the school year kept inching close to our leave date for WDW. I told her I would quit to go to WDW on time. And I was totally serious.

Keep in mind - I dont have to "do" Easter Basket's anymore.

However - when I had munchkins to do it for, I started fairly early. But I was raised that Easter was a mini-Christmas. My Easter baskets were always a decent "gift" with little candies, etc etc...

For instance one year the boys got GameBoys and a game... kwim?

Do not, i repeat DO NOT USE E_BAY FOR DISNEY TICKETS!!!!!!!!! First of all it's illegal!! Second i have had many firends get screwed using e-bay for tickets. My cousin insisted on using e-bay to buy tickets for his family. He bought 4- 10 day park hoppers with water park option. He books a trip and stays at cbr for 11 days.He gets there his first day and goes to the park and all 4 of the tickets only have 1 day each on them. Futher more him and his family can't get the tickets to scan thru the turnstiles.Well it turns out,you know when you put your ticket in and have to put your fingers in the light thing,well they knew it was not his ticket.

He is taken to the side and he explains where he got thme etc.Disney explains to him that thier tickets are non transferable, and that he cannot use these tickets cause they are not really his!!In the end with his brooklyn mouth and attitude they gave him and his family a 1 day park hopper pass for that day,he had to pay and buy the other 9 day pass.To date he is still trying to get his money back from the person on e-bay,but to date has not yet.This is just not 1 story,i have heard storys of people using e-bay and well getting ripped off.

Another lady was saying she was thinking about getting a my disney girl doll for her DD's basket. Jul has the snow white costume, ariel costume and jasmine costume for that doll. She puts them on her AG dolls.

I thought that was a cute idea. And Jul is going to be out of the doll phase soon enough, so I really should do it now while I can. And maybe with one of the costumes she doesn't have. Sold. See I start typing and I talk myself into things. Disneyland, doll...

Antss!!!!!!! I ordered the cinderella and aurora costumes off ebay yesterday! Both from the same seller. So now she has pocahontas, ariel, jasmine, snow white, belle, mulan and those 2 new ones. I am so excited. She doesn't know yet though. She will just ask everyday "are they coming today?".

And last night off disneyshopping I ordered a personalized "Julia" ariel bag (we have a different ariel version in the car), and a bambi big bag for me/her, and a pair of fairies pajamas for Jul.

OK, now I have this straight. I get so confused between "real" names and "screen" names. Rebecca, I don't know what happened to yours! Since there is no mail service today, I hope they arrive tomorrow.

They came today!!! OM gosh, they are the cutest slippers I've seen in my life!!! I can't wait to wear them. Thanks so much! The envelope was cute too!

My captain from the fire house called today. I got my offical letter from headquaters,to attend the FDNY academy from march 17 thru nov 17!! I knew i was in,but i was waiting for the offical paperwork from head quaters!!He goes on to tell me it said that in the history of the FDNY only 300 people in the FDNY have been trained in this Heavy rescue program since 1847.This program won't be offered again until 2017. As i feel great that i got in,in a way i'm sad too.Some of my guys from my fire house did not make it in and this means i'm off the streets for 9 months. i know i will miss the action the streets have,but i will come out so much better trained.

In the thread where "Iwasatwdwforamonth" was crying about her tags getting erased, Anewman said he wanted a short tag or something like that. He got "ABC, I said I wanted "123" and I ended up getting "231"

Yea I know - I was just thinking outloud...never heard any scary stories though...yours sounds awful!

I wish there was a way to get a break on a one day ticket somewhere! I'm not positive if we're going in Sept, December or Jan ...so I don't know what to do!!

Chris, don't overthink it. If you buys a 1 day, you buy a 1 day. You are going to have a great time no matter what. Concentrate on the rest of it. Are you going to have movie night leading up to it? Or do one of those countdown chains? I think next time I am going to do movie nights with themed meals.

Why were her tags erased?

I don't really know why. I think it had something to do with her siggy pics being the wrong size. But she did end up getting them back.
