Can anyone tell me, please, if there is a bus that runs between POP Century Resort and the Sports Complex? My Grandson will be playing in the Elite 24 World Series in August. DH & I are staying at POP while my daughter & her family have a rental home off-property. DH & I are trying to decide whether we need to get a rental car for the week.
Thanks!
Donna

NOpe, no bus that I know of. I've stayed at POP about 4 times now and I've yet to see a bus to the WWS. I know that you can get a bus there from
DHS. Or you could take a cab..it's not that far. Or you can just rent a car.

Are you talking about the Wide World of Sports? If so, that's right across from Pop Century. My DH just walked over there.

:cool1: Oh, THANK YOU!! Yes, I looked at a map and I believe it is the complex across the street!! I'll have to do a bit of digging and find info about it, but I know it is the complex where one of the professional teams practice. I have some problems with walking long distances, but if the sports complex is as close as it looks, I should be able to make the walk.

I don't think it's a terrible walk at all. You do a lot more walking in the parks! :)

Cool!! I'm staying at POP too. I have never been to WWS...I think I will take a walk and check it out. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure about the walk. We walk everywhere but never considered doing that walk. Remember that you would have to come out of Pop Century, walk down to Victory Way and then walk down and cross Osceola Parkway which is a busy road. There are sidewalks, though.

Personally, I'd do the cab.

In years and years of going to Disney and 32 trips in the last 13 years, we've only been to WWoS once and that was to register for the marathon. If you have to go there for a special event it's great, otherwise there's nothing there! BTW, the walk is not bad but there are no sidewalks, so be careful.

I'm 60+ in good shape and would never walk to the Sports Complex from Pop. It is not "just across the street" It is too far. Get a cab or take the Disney bus to DHS and switch to the Wide World of Sports Complex bus.

I AGREE!I have NEVER heard of anyone walking from Pop Century to Disney's Wide World of Sports! In addition to the distance, you would be "dodging" WDW buses and cars the whole way!:)

I'm 61 (will be 62 in August). My daughter and I walked to the WWSports from Pop Century several times last year. I just had some foot and ankle surgeries recently, so you can guess that I didn't exactly have the greatest feet to walk on. Try it - the walk was not a problem.

Thanks to all of you for your help.
I have Fibromyalgia and bad arthritis, knees are the worst. I love to walk and I have days when I can walk along as if I am in a race. Other days, forget it. So, I'm glad that there is the option of taking a cab. :thumbsup2
