How was Boardwalk? That is where I REALLY want to stay!!! I am hoping there is a bb for next year when I go in July/Aug. Maybe we could do BW....I have tried to rent points but the stn rooms are always booked.....

We stayed with the 4/3 deal last year - GREAT DEAL!! We LOVED BWI so much!!! Wish we could afford to stay there again

OK, here's my split-stay plan for this fall.
POP is our home at Disney and it just wouldn't seem right to not stay there at least part of the time.
BUT I'm beginning to wonder what I'm missing at the Deluxes.
AND we love free dining
AS WELL AS commando park touring the first few days. (Can't help ourselves! )
SO we're exhausted by the time we go home. (Ugh...need a vacation after my vacation!)

PLUS with any discount I have to factor in the cost of dining...

How about
POP with free dining - hopefully - (upgraded to DxDP) for 4 nights, then
AKL concierge using 40% code for 2 nights.

We generally like to eat 2 TS meals/day and most of our favorites are just 1 credit places. So we'll throw in a couple of signature restaurants and still have credits left to use at AKL for breakfast at Boma and dinner at Jiko.

My plan is to do no parks those last two days other than Sunrise Safari. Just enjoy the lodge, pool and food - and hopefully go home feeling like I had a vacation.

This sounds like a WONDERFUL plan IF (and I stress IF) you are the type of person who can be within a 5 mile radius of the parks and not be a part of them. I am all for a relaxation vacation, providing you are all of the disposition that you can relax!

The POP FD credits have to be used by midnight of the day you check out of POP or you lose them. And believe me, it's midnight on the dot. I tried to use a snack credit at 12:04 and was denied, lol!

Yeah, you're right. But I love POP and I am cheap. So if I'm gonna pay extra to stay deluxe, I'm gonna slow down and enjoy my time there. A little room service, a little animal-watching...

LOL - We were at evening EMH at MK, so the CM probably would have let me, but the cash register/computer told her no way!

My sister just got back from Pop and was in the 90's. No refurb in her room yet.

I stayed in room 9462 on April 8th and 9th and it was a remodeled room. The beds were more comfortable and the carpet was new and clean. I loved the blue color and the flat screen sure was nice although we didn't spend a lot of time watching. Mostly turned it on just to fall asleep at night. There was also the curtain that separated the bathroom area from the sleeping area. That was helpful and allowed me to get ready for the day and my daughter was able to sleep a little longer given that there was no light in the sleeping area. I've always loved Pop Century and I was even happier with it this time. Although the room itself had to be the farthest I've been from the parking area.

We stayed 3 nights a few weeks ago. We had a new room. Here are the picks. Overall I really liked POP but the walls are way too thin for me.. but if you have good neighbors (We didn't) it would have been much more pleasant.

So glad we picked Pop. Haven't been there in a few years, but going on a tighter budget this trip, so thought we'd give it a try again. The divided bathroom/sleeping area is a big plus. Cannot wait to check it out in November!

I love the new decor. I'm not a big fan of border wallpaper. I love the blue accent wall, it's calming and doesn't scream cheap hotel.

Not a big fan of the nemo themed wallpaper at CBR. I think it is tacky. One of those things that makes you go,"what were they thinking?" lol
