So last night the wife calls to book our planned trip for 2 weeks at the Cabins at Wilderness Lodge. There are 6 of us going (me, her, our two kids, her nephew and her mom) so the Cabin was perfect for us, as we could save some $$$ on the food by cooking it ourselves (the three adults are all cooks and love cooking so not a big deal).. So while she was booking the lady mentioned there was aPin associated with our address, she punched it in and voila FREE DINING!!! She was so surprised she hung up the phone to tell me!! :rotfl:

Anyway with that new info, we have moved to a split room (3 in one room and 3 in the other) at Pop (where her and the kds really wanted to stay.. we already HAVE a cabin at home..) This is our first DDP, and out first use of a PIN ever.... we have 3 months to go.. and can't wait.. even my miidy 12 year old son smiled a big toothy grin for the first time in memory ... it's the Disney Magic!!!!!!

Regular DDP but they pushed us to upgrade to Deluxe.. (but we didn't..) we are kind of commando (as in spontanious, and our needs/wants/wishes/cravings change from day to day) and even the regular dining plan is forcing us to do some advanced planning for the TS meals..

How the heck do i know what i will feel like eating in 3 months time!??!

The only ADR we have so far is Chef Mickeys for our Nephews 9th birthday.. but that's the whole point of going to WDW in the first place :)

You will enjoy this alot - it is now our favorite place to stay. Also, by making ADR's ahead of time, it can make the trip less stressful by not having to wait in line every day for food. Most restaurants are really good anf for dining it's alot of fun to try ones out that you wouldn't normally do.:surfweb:

I have stayed at Pop 2 times before (once in the 50's building, and once in the 90's building) and I loved it.. Last trip was ASMo, the trip before that was Coronado Springs, and the three before that were offiste. So far POP has been my fav!

This is our first DDP, and are starting to build up our dining wish list.. and since we are there for 14 days, and have the hopper pass, we have a lot of flexability.

I don't really care about the food, as much as the experience.. we want to go to the 50's diner, Cyrstal Palace, Tusker Inn and the restaraunt in the Living Seas pavillion. More for the experiences than the food.. but are totally lost on the resort restaurants.

We are a "fun" family.. a bit whacky, and whole lot of nuts  hehe.. we love the interaction.. so looking for food experiences for the most part.. any suggestions?

What about Teppan Edo --- where they cook at your table?

We loved it when went (family of 5 -- 2 teens & a tween)
