Hi everyone i'm new to this forum but I have been enjoying all the helpful information you've all provided me with. Now I have a couple of questions maybe some of you can help me with? I have visited DW many times but this will be my first time staying on site we chose to stay at Pop over all the value resorts due to the fact that it was the newest of all the values, and when I made my reservation the CM also suggested it to us as the best value resort any suggestions? :Pinkbounc

the 50's building!!!

short walk to the food court and it has its own quiet pool.

Have you read through the Pop Century FAQ in the "sticky" post at the top of the forum? Here's a direct link to it: Pop Century FAQ

I'll bet that ANY question you have has been asked before! There's a lot of good information there. I read the whole thread before booking Pop for September!

Welcome to the DIS!!! :earsboy:

That really answered most of my questions. Now do you know if their still renting the surrey bikes at pop?

Tyler (chip n' dale express) say in a recent post that Pop Century had stopped that benefit.

I can see why - when we were there no one was using it.

the resort is not big - everything is an easy distance to walk too. the resort area (until they complete the other side) is smaller than the Polyn.

We prefer the 50's section, any room facing the lake. The rooms in the 60's facing the lake are nice too, but they are preferred rooms and $10 more and our walk was maybe 5 seconds longer from the 50's section so I don't see the point of paying for preferred. The rooms facing the lake tend to be quieter than the rooms facing the pools, but really, once you close the door on a room facing the pool it's pretty darn quiet there as well. At least in my experience.

It should be incredibly busy while you're there and the resort will surely be full. The food court will probably be very busy most of the day, so if you are eating breakfast there I would go as early as possible. I send my husband down to the court in the morning while we're getting ready and he brings our simple breakfast back to the room so we can eat in peace as the food court tends to be packed.

The daisy pool (the main pool in the center of the resort) will probably be packed, I would recommend using one of the other two pools though they will probably be busy as well.

I don't know if you'll have a car, but the bus service has been great for us. There are always people waiting in the bus queues, but Pop seems to be good about knowing how many people will be coming and going and keeps the buses arriving at a pretty steady rate. The longest we have ever had to wait for a bus was about 30 minutes one morning when we were trying to get to DTD. Because not a lot of people want to go to DTD in the morning, they don't seem to have buses running there very often. Otherwise, we waited maybe 20 minutes at the most to and from the parks.

Have a great time and I hope you enjoy Pop!
