That's interesting. I haven't heard about this at all. I wonder if it will stop us from having to use the voucher. That would be great! And not having to worry about loosing that card is great too! I wonder if we could put it on more than one magic band? Probably not since they would never give you two cards....

Not sure. I was sitting right in front of my travel agent when the CM was telling her about it. CM even put my TA on hold to make sure she was even allowed to reveal this. Then she came back on and told all. So I'm assuming it is hot off the presses!

Sitting on the plane awaiting departure to Orlando. The flight is full and I see ALOT of families wearing their MB's. 2 hour flight then the Next stop is Pop. Hope ME is running smoothly today.
 
No fridge, old bedding building 6, 4th floor. MagicBands won't open room door, can't use mine at all for charging either, they say DD15's will work...but also said hers would open the room & it doesn't. The system is down and they can't print KTTW cards (apparently since yesterday). There is only 1 backup card per room available....it's a mess! Not a magical trip so far. We landed at 1:20 and 3 hours later finally checked in and headed to HS where they Hope our bands will work....

Sounds horrible!!! Im sorry. I sure do hope they fix those bugs quick!!!

Wonder why only one band works? You would think if one worked they all would work.

Boy I hope they get things working again before I show up next weekend. I'm kinda on the fence with the mb's anyway. Ill use them, obviously, but I want KTTW cards too.
 
Yikes, I hope they get the MB/KTTW printing sorted out!! We arrive on Tuesday and I'm so nervous about crowds now having learned that FP+ rolls out to every resort on Monday

Without KTTW cards, MBs sporadically working are our only hope. This sucks! I haven't even been able to access our dining plan. Had to pay cash for everything today. Trying to stay positive, but not happy with my decision to stay at Pop. These problems appear to be at Pop, not other resorts.
 
Plus side...CMs at Pop are way friendlier than they were at ASMo last year. Low crowds at HS this evening.

I'm not sure what the fridge situation is at Pop as the last I heard they still didn't have them in all the rooms. I arrive in just over 3 weeks and will need one for my 5 year old because of his multiple food allergies. I didn't see an option to ask for one when I did online check-in so how should I make this request? We arrive late in the day and I'm worried they won't have any left by then. Thanks!

We arrive in Dec and will need one as well for my DD and her multiple food allergies. Before they had fridges in all the resorts we always got one for free for medicinal purposes and would just ask for one upon check in. If they're not in all the rooms yet, maybe you can do that. Call and find out before you arrive, just to be sure.

So you tried to use your dining plan but couldn't bc MB weren't working? I hope they get it fixed :-(

Why are you paying out of pocket?? Disney isn't honoring the dining plan even though you paid for it?? And why don't you have KTTW cards? Your supposed to have them too. This blows my mind....I figured if a new technology wasn't working and you already paid for the dining plan, Disney would be more accomodating. We aren't budgeted to pay for meals....that's why we have the dining plan.
 
I am at the concierge now. 3rd time about magic bands. Still don't work. Just keep swimming...
 
Meant to add... CMs are amazing!! I really appreciate how hard they are working and still smiling!!
 
One more update: They just told us everything should work at the parks, but they need to reprogram the doors to the rooms. They have a work order in for at least 20 people, and that is just from one of the runners. They are coming in the morning. Here with my friend and they have the same issue.

i was there a couple of weeks ago and the Pop CMs were great! The concierge were especially helpful. We had issues with our MBs and they really went out if their way to help. One of them even took all of my FPs, and recreated them first thing the next day (6:30am) so they would be ready to go that morning. I was so appreciative of their attention and willingness to help. :)
