Just did our airline check-in. Got Group A for the Southwest leg and our seats together for the AirTran leg. Yay! :cool1:

I can't believe tomorrow at this time we will be on the plane!

Safe travels to you guys. I'll be doing that today also...woot woot :-) We have a direct flight on Southwest leaving outa Louisville tomorrow at 3:30. Can't believe that after over a year of planning this trip for our DD, it's finally here. I'm so ready to get my Disney on, LOL.

The refillable mugs have always been for coffee, tea, cocoa, and fountain drinks only -- back when they first started, through the various mug configurations, and now with the Rapid Refill program. Milk and juice have never been available at the fountain; they are sold as individual drinks. Milk and juice are much more expensive than the other drinks -- I believe Coke gives the fountain product to WDW. Sorry you didn't know that before you went and it's good information for newbies.

It doesn't matter now because it's gone, but I remember there being Minute Maid apple juice as choice at Pop Century.

Sadly that choice is not there anymore and it's important to know your mug choices don't include any juice or milk.

Less than 2 days till we make our way to Pop!! We're driving so it will be another day or so before we ACTUALLY get there but still!! My DH is excited for the drive since it will be the most he's seen of the country since we've been married (he's from the UK originally). Can't believe it almost finally here!! :D

Here's my goofball question of the day. Since I check in tomorrow, I probably should figure this out. :lmao:

I have the DDP, so that means I get a refillable mug. Where, at Pop, do I pick that up?

You visit the food court area in Everything Pop! and pick out your mug. You "pay" for it at the food court checkout using the mug credit on your dining plan, and your mug will be activated there. One mug credit per person on your plan.

Are there any juice options, like hi-c or minute maid, in the fountain?

You, too! I can't believe tomorrow at this time we will already be in the parks (I hope)! It feels like I've been planning FOREVER...when actually it's only been since March. :cool1:

Minute Maid light lemonade has been on the fountain in the past. I don't recall seeing hi-c though. Maybe Fanta? But that would be carbonated.

This is from the first page of this thread (thanks JanetB):

Refillable 16 oz mugs can be purchased for $15.49(plus tax) at the Food Court for use during your resort stay; they cannot be used anywhere else at WDW. Includes unlimited refills on the following: basic coffee, soda (Coke products: Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Fanta Orange, Sprite, Sprite Zero), Fruit Punch Powerade, Minute Maid Light lemonade (there is no lemonade available that doesn't contain artificial sweetener), cold Gold Peak tea (black (aka regular) sweetened, black unsweetened, green sweetened, and white citrus), hot tea, and hot cocoa.

Well crud. They should really consider children when they provide drink selections. I will not give DS4 artificial sweetened anything (not that regular Minute Maid is the healthiest thing). He doesn't drink soda, either (I let him have a sip of sprite once and he was not a fan!). He is so used to diluted juice as part of his morning routine. Glad he likes water but he's going to ask for lemonade as soon as he sees it on the machines, though. Wonder if the white citrus tea has artificial sweetener or caffeine?

Ok....they can do water with single serving sugar packs that I'm bringing with us than. I wish they would take into consideration of kids using the mugs too. I wouldn't care about the soda but not for breakfast, which is when they'll most likely use their mugs. We'll be in the parks the rest of the day. DH and I will be using it for coffee.

ETA.....Hawaiian Punch sugar pkts nit regular sugar pkts, that would be gross lol

My two youngest won't drink soda (they hate carbonated beverages).
In addition to the light lemonade, there is also blue powerade, hot chocolate, gold peak ice tea and coffee. Of course, I wouldn't give much of any of those to young children either.
Juice and milk is only available by purchasing or getting as a drink with a DDP meal. (ASAIK, this is true of all resorts, not just POP)

When my kids were younger, we didn't bother getting them a mug as there really wasn't anything for them to drink. Now a lot more kids have them as they are included in some dining plans.

If you are on a dining plan and eat any of your meals at the resort, I would suggest having the adults pick out a drink for the little ones and getting your own drink from the dispensers.

I used to bring sugar packets with us (Hawaiin Punch etc...) with us whenever we traveled in summer and add it to the water. However, the last couple years I have not been able to find any kind that is not sugar free (and therefore contains artificial sweetener). I've tried local grocery stores, dollar stores, Target, BJ's etc... Just curious what you've found.

1 day! So excited, we will be there at Pop tomorrow right about this time. So ready!!! Hope everyone has a magical trip and I'll report back when we get back.

Same here. Hansen's & True Lime/Lemon has stevia, I think. I drink those, myself, but have only let DS have a sip or two if we're out and about and he's thirsty. I found a liquid water enhancer (Stur) that also has stevia. I know it's not perfect, but I'm trying to cut back on sodas. Still, that's not helping with the kids' options, I know...

Ooh...my kids could do hot chocolate, they'd love that. They'll think they're all big and bad because they'll be drinking it out of a coffee kug anyway lol
