For those of you that have not been impressed by the food court changes - was it because of the different menu not suiting your tastes or because of poor execution of the actual food (meaning, it tasted bad)?

I think the menu looks great - so much more variety. But a varied menu does no good if the end result is slop, you know?

Thanks!

6 days till Pop - 4 till VACAY!

Oh - and we have arrived late at the resort - never have had an issue getting a room to our liking (but we only ask for upper floor and close to laundry - nothing building or room specific, really.)

Food Court- I am not a food snob, so the selections seem great to me. I am also not impatient, especially while on vacation. I have just seem friendly CM's being a bit frustrated because there was not enough food on the line, so a wait builds up even with a low crowd.

Are you saying people who are unimpressed with the new menu are food snobs? The new menu is missing some old favorites like Shrimp Lo Mien and fried chicken, pretty basic stuff. So it's not food snobs who are not happy with the new choices. I don't understand the food snob comment.

We are staying at POP for the first time in October. I called today to put in my requests and I requested a fridge. The CM told me that I can not request that because they are not sure what resorts have been affected by the recall. Does that seem off to anyone? I am thinking of calling back to see if I get another answer but I just wanted to see if anyone else was able to request one.

Yes, during the testing phase only, much to my DH's delight. He is drunk with FP power.

I just got off the phone with a CM who mentioned that everyone testing the bands in August will be able to use regular FP and still receive a KTTW card. Apparently, during the first test phase, the biggest complaint was the inability to park hop.

I really appreciate you verifying this.

FYI: Epcot's FP+ in Sept are very limited. I called because there was NOTHING child-friendly for my family. I was told to keep checking back they are aware of the problem. I was told to check back 17 days prior and more attractions should be loaded.

I tried the new French Bread pizza and didn't like it.

I tried the made to order tacos and did enjoy them but they are only available at lunch.

I didn't try the new chicken-it didn't look good to me. I really enjoyed the Chicken Alfredo they used to have and was missing that.

I didn't try the salmon burger-I saw others getting it and it looked good if you liked salmon. I got the kids burger a couple of times and it was always very good.

Anyone know if the fridges are available at POP or have they pulled them from the rooms?

thanks so much!

I think the fridge situation is so iffy right now they really can't do much. By October they may have more working fridges in the rooms as they are supposed to. All resorts across WDW have been affected in some way with defective fridges.

At this point you should expect few rooms are going to have working fridges. Some might, some might not. In general you'd be lucky to get an operating one right now.

No, not at all. I was just giving an idea of how I am. I could not tell you what is missing/changed from the menu, as we have not stayed in this resort since 2005.
Sorry if you misunderstood. I am staying here now, so I am not reading all of the responses, only trying to answer questions sent my way.

Does Pop have ice machines? Are there ice buckets in the rooms?

and...does anyone have any recommendations for a small collapsible cooler?

No more chicken penne Alfredo?? My daughter will be crushed!! That was her only resort requirement! :(

It seems so, but there is the Chicken Cavatappi Alfredo, which seems like the same thing.

Although now I can't seem to find that, only a Cavatappi that comes with marinara sauce. So I don't know!
