I'm also from Canada. We arrive on Aug 18th abduction I've not received an email yet about magic bands or fp+ testing, but I'm wondering if I'm included? The app will let next set fp+ times, but that wont do me any good if I don't have magic bands. Should I call and ask? What number would I call?

I got conflicting answers when I called 407-939-7849. i am curious what they will tell you...

I think if you want to be part of the test, then you can be. Just customize the bands and make your fast pass selections. We are also checking into Pop on the 18th with no official email.
 
I'm a resort hopper! We just changed to POP for September 2-8th after finding out some friends who were also taking advantage of the free dining deal were staying there. Now we can eat, play and stay together! I already got Mickey mail from other resort will I get another one for POP? If so can we use both vouchers from them? Guessing not but would be cool and figured I ask.
 
I am wondering too I arrive at POP from Canada on the 13th. I have gotten conflicting information when I call and do not want to be "that crazy woman " who keeps calling. I did not receive an invitation but I was prompted on the app. I customized our magic bands and picked our fast pass+ it all shows up on reservations. The bands are still stating...shipping soon to your address or resort.

Hi...I had the same questionsso I popped on the phone and talked to a very helpfull CM who did a little digging. I was told our Magic Bands, all customized, will be atthe resort waiting forus when we check in, I imagine it's a shipping issue to Canada? Get everything ready on the app, and I think it'll be good to go.
 

No. You'll have to bring some from your room and ask Mousekeeping for some extras.

Really?? No more towels? Is this something new? When I stood in 2009 I thought for sure there were towels there. Bummer :confused3

So, should we (Canadians) just assume the bands will be waiting for us when we check in at Pop in a little over a week? I tried calling Disney today, from my sister's phone (since I only have a cell phone, without a US long distance plan) and was on hold for 1.5+ hours before hanging up because it was going to cost too much (and I was bored). This is so frustrating!

It's always been that way every time we've stayed at a Value.

there have never been towels available at the pools at the value resorts. you can bring your room towels and ask housekeeping for more.

we don't use the maid service often, and they leave us a "care" package on the door knob with shampoo, soap etc. and TONS of towels we never even get around to using!

there are alos maid carts all around the resort during the day. just ask the mousekeeper for towels for the pool. no problem.. (esp. handy when you are hinging at the pool waiting for your room to be ready)

ALSO!!! there are no towels available at the quiet pools at the moderate resorts, only the "feature" pool.

Well one can neverassume, so it might be best to try calling tomorrow or later, when the furour over free dining has subsided. I had set up the bands on the app a couple of weeks ago, but could not see where I could "submit" my final edits, so I called on Saturday the 27th and was put through to the online tech department who did some digging into my question, and looked on their end, and they saw the colours and names as I had set them. She never gave a reason why they were being shipped to the resort instead of the address, but in my gut, I think it has likely something with shipping RFID stuff over the borders, there might be restrictions? I really don;t know, sorry about that.

Ohhhh thank you soooo much! Maybe now I will relax and know what is coming I am not the "go with flow" type lol i NEED to know. luckily my DH is ...we even each other out :) 5 days till the awesome POP

I would call however not all guests get to do MB. They choose which guests are chosen to test MB.

My bands status now says they will be at the resort (not shipping soon) 5 days to go!

We've stayed at Values several times over the last 12 years and there have been times that there are towel carts near the pool but I've found that to be very hit or miss and not something you can count on. We always just bring towels from our room. The first thing I do when we arrive in our room is call mousekeeping for more towels. That way we have them when we need them. I've also gotten them at the front desk when we stayed at AoA and I think I remember someone mentioning that they have them at the front desk at Pop as well. You just have to ask for them.
 
Many years ago we stayed at All Star Movies and Music. Our last trip we got a discount and stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am now planning a trip for late August 2014. We are looking to go for as cheap as possible, since we have to fly and that in itself will cost way too much. We are DH, DS (16 at travel time), DS (12 at travel) and myself. We have always wanted to stay at POP. My only real concern is the size of the beds. When we last stayed at the All Stars my kids were young. We don't plan on spending much time in the room, but we do have to sleep after a long day. I don't care if the beds are hard just as long as two adults can fit. We are staying for 7 days. Also any info about POP would be great. Thanks for all your help.:thumbsup2

The rooms will be 2 double beds. If you and your husband could comfortably fit on one and one DS could use another than you can bring a twin inflatable mattress for the other DS. It will fit if you move the table and chairs to the other side of the room.
