Pop Century Room Renovations

Does the current bounceback mention Aulani? I know, probably a stretch but there is a method to my madness.

A BounceBack by design is to get you to bounceback to the same location. I have never seen a 'bounceback' that involves a WDW location other than the one you're staying at.

Is there any signs that they are slaving away to get the 70s done quickly? I'm still hopeful that they will have some prefered rooms refurbed by October 1st

Can anyone say how much of an eye/ear sore the gondola construction will be for someone staying in a 50's lake view room? I've seen the latest pictures but it's a little hard to judge. We love to sit on the benches facing hourglass lake in the mornings and nights.

Buses and cars crash, Monorails crash and break down, boats sink. There are risks with all forms of transportation, and I'm not interested in walking everywhere on property, so I'll take my chances.
I probably will too.

But I find dangling 40 feet up in the air scarier than being in the Disney bus if it crashes. I'd probably find it less scary on the gondola if it's over water though.

And I've never heard of a Disney boat sinking. Lol.

I just meant that they have the capability of sinking, didn't even think about how all of the other things I've mentioned have actually happened! Also, looking at the photos from the article you linked, that gondola system looks old and kind of cheap. I'm expecting the Disney ones to be of better quality, larger and hopefully safer.

Anyone see this about a gondola wheel coming off the cable?

http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/31/europe/cologne-cable-car-accident/index.html

There was a discussion about this on another message board and the "experts" pointed out that this is a much older system and not the same type of cable system that Disney is using (this was a 2-cable system and Disney's will be a single cable system). Apparently it's virtually impossible for this to happen on the type of system Disney is installing.

I hope so!

Oh good to know! Thanks.
