Which building are they working on now? Was told upon booking that there is construction going butbwoukd not interfere with rooms just pathways???

They are going to be working on the rooms until May 2018. The misinformed Phone CMs strike again.

Can't remember for sure but just read backwards in the posts and you'll quickly see the answers. I believe 90s are done and they're working on 80's and possibly 70's too.

So building 8 is done as well as either building 7 or 9? I think that is where we should be now, right? I just got the email that my Magicbands have shipped, very happy!!!!

Building starting with the number 8 are finished and in use, Building starting with 9 look to be complete and may already be in use, they are working on building 7.

To date the only confirmed rooms that are in circulation are in the 90's building and they have been in circulation since mid June. It gets confusing as the rooms in the 90's building are the ones that start with 8nnn.

It is believed that the 80's section (rooms starting with 7nnn and 9nnn) should come into circulation soon but I have yet to see anyone confirm that they are in one of those rooms.

I'm not sure what the status is of rooms in the 70's section (rooms starting with 0nnn and 6nnn) are at at this time so I won't comment on those.

On "En route vers Walt-Disney" a Facebook page in french, someone posted yesterday that they were in building 9 (9nnn)! I asked to be sure and she said yes, in the 80's section, not 90's! I hope it's true!

Just fyi.. with new rooms comes issues... still being fixed that can be annoying. Our bathroom door hasn't closed and now the 2nd day they still haven't fixed it after promising last night they would do so today. They're the pocket doors and ours will not close. Then last night we were locked out of room for 25 minutes cause keypad didn't work at all. New rooms are the furthest from lobby so we called and after first time being on hold 10 minutes, then being disconnected, we called back and person came to room. Entry also didn't work for him but after little it started to light again. Guessing bad battery. He tried bathroom door and couldn't close either. He promised next day the bathroom door would be fixed and check the keypad. It was annoying waiting outside while being on hold and transferred around on phone, exhausted after long day in park. Then tonight when we returned, I called again since door not fixed and they said didn't know when would be fixed..ugh. I told them I expected it tomorrow.

Not good!! Did they fix entry door? One time I had a problem with door and someone came right away with a new battery. That was at POR. Sounds like they are rushing to finish rooms and not installing things properly. Workman ship suffering. I don't understand why pocket door can't be fixed within a day, since the workman are on site.

One of my readers says she checked in to a shower-only room in Building 9 last night. Here's what she said:

"Hi Dave, Wanted to let you know that I just checked into Pop Century this evening. I requested a room in Building 9 and I’m sitting in one right now. So the rooms are definitely open to guests already. I don’t know if you’re aware that some rooms have only shower, no bath tub. We had to ask to move to a different room with a tub since I have small children. If you need a picture of the shower, I’ll be more than happy to send it to you. Just let me know. The quality wouldn’t be great since i used my iPhone to take it. Thanks for all your hard work. I love your website!!!"

Yes! So exciting! I had been holding off on doing my online check in as I wanted to wait till the 80's section opened up for sure before placing my requests. I'm wanting building 9.

Unless they put room renovations on hold it seems Buildings 10 and 6 will be done by November! That's awesome! That gives them three months for two buildings.

So they did the first 3 buildings in how long a time? Three months?

I still can't imagine them working on the 60s section during the warmer months. That's so close to the main pool. I picture them working on that area more during the winter months... but what do I know?

Thanks! I didn't realize Building 7 is still be worked on. I thought two buildings were already open and another one just opened up.

YAY!!! Thank you for the update. Happy to hear they've officially put one more refurbed building back into rotation
